The hotel gave us a very nice clean, large room and large bathroom. It was a front room, first floor and perfect for us. We think that the staff was friendly. Breakfast room with gallery was lovely. Breakfast itself was delicious. We loved their home made croissant! The servers were attentive. Richard gave good recommendations where to go. We had great time at nearby Cartier St and its rows of cafes and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel to friends and to others!.

Excellent Everything including: location - very close to Cartier Ave with restaurants (especially Graffiti,) bars (especially Jules and Jim, delis etc....also easy walk down Grande Allee to the Old City of Quebec, museums, Plains of Abraham (aka The Battlefield). The staff were exceptional. The Decor was fantastic, it was extremely clean. We could not have found a better place for our trip to Québec city. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quaint Small hotel, close to all attractions, just a great place to spend your vacation. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was nice and the best thing the hotel has is the location. Very nice villas around, a beautiful park at about 200 meters North and at only 10 min. walk to Quebec downtown. The Hotel is located in same street than the Chateau Frontenac. They served a wonderful breakfast (only meal available). The staff treated us with utmost respect, very attentive to your needs. Sound proofing in the room was excellent. Very close to to historic sites, starts two blocks behind the hotel. Many walking paths. What a beautiful little Hotel! Room and bathroom were newly renovated and very clean. There is absolutely nothing negative I can say about this hotel. 33 narrow steps up to the second landing. Difficult for people with back or leg problems. However the price eases many pains!. There is nothing we didn't like!. Room was clean and cozy, but a little small. Breakfast was good, but not enough for big eaters. No residents lounge No coffee maker in room Room a little small but that's reflected in price. The bathtub was VERY high to step over into, there was no grip on the tub bottom so it got slippery during a shower, and there were no grab bars. I wish there had been a bedside table and lamp. No coffee maker in room Room was a little smaller than we would have liked but not an issue. While the breakfast was exquisitely presented and served, the food itself was quite basic (fruit, corn flakes, bagel ...). Some of the facilities are a bit old, i.e. the air con unit was a huge box that made an awful noise. No lift and VERY steep stairs. They could serve hard boiled eggs with the breakfast. Otherwise breakfast was OK. At the time, the internet connection was intermittent--very frustrating for me. difficult to park. The AC was very noisy and there was no elevator. Expensive. The stairs were a nightmare because of our luggage. It's close to the main attractions, but you will need to walk a little bit (30, 40 minutes I guess). It fulfilled my expectations; I had no dislikes. We were on second floor and the staircase leading from reception to bedrooms smelled stuffy and unpleasant. parking a bit tricky. Noise. Stairs were horrible. I would not want to see anyone with mobility problems try to stay here. A little further from the old city than I had expected made for a tiring walk back after a long day of exploring the city. On the other hand, it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas and have dinner at very good restaurants where locals eat that are near the hotel.
