My wife and I loved the elegant, spacious calm airy sunny quiet relaxing room with ajoining sitting room. Windows all around that you could open and with beautiful lace curtains. Lovely tasteful colours. Nice and useful antique furniture and a fun old fashoined bathtub with curtained shower. The breakfast Sunday morning in the bistro was outstanding. We have never before experienced more welcoming calm attentive efficient service in another restaurant.
所有评语 » The Inn was quaint and historical. Staying at Glenora was like taking a step back in time - the Inn was steeped in history. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. this IS bed and breakfast ... pleasant welcome, bathrobe and tub, clean sheets, and a real three-dimensional breakfast to start my working day! My second time ...my place to stay when in Edmonton. We had the fortunate experience of having our room upgraded to a suite. It was very comfortable, the bed was good. The breakfast was tasty; the portions were a bit too big. The service was great. The room was comfy. The breakfast facility was convenient and very good. The location vid a bid restaurants transportation and pleasant walking routes is great. I LIKED THE old world charm. If 'vintage' is your thing the Glenora is very charming. I liked it was right on the Art Walk and very near the center of town. I had a very pleasant experience. Everyone was friendly and understanding, the breakfasts were incredible and the feel of the place was very comforting. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated and I appreciated the air conditioning. The breakfast was exceptional. Location was good, and limed the free breakfast in the restaurant. Room had a small kitchenette, always a plus. Comfy bed. Free newspaper. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is quaint and beautifully decorated. It is a quiet place, and was perfect for a romantic getaway. Proximity to the Art Gallery area. Excellent Breakfast and very helpful staff. The comfortable Victorian decor is very charming. The hotel is convinient and in a good location. Kindly add a card/coin in somewhere in the hotel especially useful for the internation clientile. Simplify your breakfast menu for the international clientile may be with a line in the menu to read for example: tea/coffee, juice, cereals, beacon, eggs, sausage &toast. The breakfast. Pleasant room, friendly staff. Location. History of building. That we didn't have more time to spend there :). The room could use some repairs - the paint was peeling and there was water damage by one of the windows. The room was also noisy as the Inn is on the corner of two major streets. A tiny thing: the room was a little warm, on what was likely an unseasonably warm evening for late April. (I could not find a thermostat, to turn the heat down. But, this is an older building, heating may not have individual controls.). The couch was not comfy. The street noise was very apparent. The tv was ancient and took some patience to get it to work. I didn't have my own personal bathroom, but it was not inconvenient. No dislikes, but lots of stairs that some might dislike. The hot water fluctuated a bit - perhaps because the building is old - but at one point i had to run the tap for ten mins before the water was warm enough to bathe in. And when showing there were moments when the water would either become scalding hot or quite cold for a minute or two before levelling off again. Aside from the water (which really was not the worst thing in the world to deal with) everything else was great. Because of the age of the building and detailed decor everything needs constant maintenance and upkeep. I have stayed often at the Glenora and noticed this time that some deterioration is evident. Parking somewhat limited. Parking, very limited. And all the stairs in the building.I have a hard time going up and down stairs. It's time to upgrade the mattress's!. The mattress was a little too firm for our tastes. We had room 200 on the top floor at the corner. It was a beautiful room but there was a lot of road noise. Nothing. -Complex breakfast menu -no gas cooker yet u dont provide lunch or supper. -no coin /card telephone for communication.I left my phone and iPad chargers in the room. I phoned and asked them to be sent. They were not. When I called to ask why, they said my card was nor approved. Why did they not call or email to tell me? . Check in guy was NOT friendly and poorly dressed. There are no in room safes. The front door is propped open in warm weather making me concerned for security. Needs a paint touch up at front door, basement door and here and there. Beds where horrible, got squished in one and fell through the other !!! One staff member was more interested in proving she was right rather than the customer.
