Interesting old house with several in-and outdoor spaces.
The majority of the staff members were kind and helpful. The pousada
has very nice common areas, including several well-maintained
courtyard gardens.
Street not safe after sunset, like most of São Luis historical center.
The bathroom was dirty. In most coastal towns in Brazil, you can't
flush the toilet paper, therefore the usual practice is to provide a
trash can with a lid that is then emptied daily. Our trashcan had no
lid. There were insects in the room. The sheets did not fit the bed. The
