Its location is very good for the best beach and safety in Rio area. The staff is so nice that you don't have to worry about anything though they cannot speak good English. Our stay at the Ipanema Plaza was excellent. When we arrived tired (without luggage, lost by the airline) we were offered a room already at 0600 although we hadn't expected to check-in until 1400. We loved the staff at the Ipanema Inn. Everyone there spoke English and were extremely helpful in finding excursions, transportation, food etc.. The hotel has been refurbished, is clean, comfortable and the staff and breakfast are great. It is close to shopping, restaurants and close to the beach. Most of the staff speak English. We had a spacious family suite with a terrace and beach view. Also, the a/c unit was quiet and the shower was good too. -
Hotel staff very attentative and helpful. Probably the best value for
money in the area. Breakfast simple but sufficient. Same as the rooms.
Although I stayed in a room with street view, there is no noise.
Definitely a good option for those who want good location and good
service without being ripped off.

We were upgraded on arrival to a sea view room which was absolutely
fabulous. The room was ultra comfortable and the bathroom very large.
The hotel had the luxurious feel you would expect from this standard
with nice furniture and carpets in public areas. The pool area had
plenty of sunbeds and nice white towels and a champagne bar in the
corner.
