  Pousada Portas da Amazonia was a charming old hotel directly in the middle of the old historical downtown of Sao Luis. The staff was wonderful; breakfast was delicious set in a lovely outdoor atrium surrounded by beautiful tropical plants. Charming is the best word to describe this hotel, and my pictures just can't capture the old world ambiance... 别人怎么说 » . - I really enjoyed the stay - the staff was great, helpful and able to manage situations that didn't necessarily run as planned. The location right in the historic center is really good to explore old São Luis and close to the boat to Alcantarra. The decor in the pousada and rooms is gorgeous and cosy. Really enjoyed my stay.

Very good service: even after check-out, we could take a shower and use the pool.
