  All front desk staffs speak good English. Since this is a business hotel, rates on the weekend was cheaper than the weekdays. Use a yellow taxi if you go to tourist spots. They are honest and you pay by the meter. I used a car service that hotel offers when I visited steel plants that are far from the hotel. It is safe near the hotel. I don't reco... 别人怎么说 » mmend you going to narrow streets that can be blocked by both sides easily. People outside the hotel don't speak English. - Great location if you want to hang around in Lapa. Very close to the metro station so you can easily go to Copacabana and Ipanema as well. The staff has been very helpful and let us check in much in advance. Thank you!

  Location was good by Flamenco Beach to get to and from all attractions. Local busses and Airport busses stopped at end of the Hotels Road (along main road) and short walk from subway staition.   We spent three nights at the R&C Santa Teresa and were very happy with our choice for romantic vacation. The room was very nice and very clean. The design of hotel is awesome. The staff is very friendly and this is valid for everybody (security, front desk, waiters, room service etc). The area itself is interesting and from what I gather has some cool drinking holes and restaurants. One could start and finish a book in peace here, yet 'feel Brazilian', and not feel they need to join the flock of tourists seeing the usuals in Rio. I enjoyed spending time at the bar, restaurant and spa - perfect for a day of indulgence!
