We had the room with a spa tub; the bathroom had a tub, a separate shower, toilet - I booked to stay at the Esplanade Hotel as a surprise for my partners birthday, we could not have been happier with everything, in particular the staff at the reception desk as well as the concierge were extremely polite and helpful.   We were a group of 2 young couples who stayed at the resort for 3 nights. We absolutely loved staying here. We managed to get a good deal and I am so glad that I snavelled it as it was worth every dollar. Situated right on the beach we could all come and go as we liked. We were thinking the units were looking tired and for a resort could never work out why beds were standard doubles. However for the first time we had an upgrade and were delighted. We have been very loyal to Abbey and again love the location and service has been over all these years and staff changes, very good.

The staff were delightful, right from check-in to final check-out. The room was superb, well appointed and exceptionally comfortable and clean. The restaurant would be among the best at which we have ever eaten, with the sensibly brief menu and wine list superbly backed-up by very polite and attentive staff. Overall, our eight day stay would have to be one of the best hotel stays we have ever experienced and enjoyed.

  I'm not sure why this place has received quite a few bad reviews, when I have nothing to complain about.   A fantastic apartment in a perfect location. Beautiful surroundings, extremely clean, two bathrooms and two toilets and the icing on the cake, was that when I rang to inform reception that we would be arriving late, the manager went to our apartment and switched on the heating, so it would be warm when we arrived.
