  We arrived late after an extremely long journey from the uk and were immediately greeted warmly. We were told all about our room. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. The bath/wetroom was absolutely ideal for my wife who is disabled. It was quiet even though it was close to the breakfast room.   We stayed in the king spa room. Although it said it was a 2 person spa, i doubt that my husband and i could both fit in it, but enjoyed seperate spa's. The room was spacious and the bed was one of the best hotel beds we have slept in. Breakfast was includeded and it was a great selection.   We loved our time at the Grand Mercure. Staff are friendly and very down to earth. The facilities are great we spent more time in the pool then we did at the beach. The location is awesome you can smell the beach and plenty of restaurants to go to.   Family room was great with the 2 bedrooms - enough space for 3 teenage daughters. Staff were easy to deal with (and spoke clear english) and made changes easy - Meal from Capricornia Resturant was excellent. Glad room offered basic items like microwave, sink & plates.

  Room was good size and bathroom nice and clean. It was quiet and handy to where we wanted to go. Magazines to read were a nice touch. Breakfasts were well priced. Amazing view, so much room and while we only got to stay 1 night, after a 4 week trip to Japan for winter, we both felt really comfortable immediately.
