  With a 3 year old who loves water the pool was brilliant. The location of the units was also excellent being just 75 metres from the beach and 5 minutes walk into town.   Everything about the Port Douglas Motel was excellent! The location was excellent, it was immaculately clean and the staff were exceptional. One of the best hotel/motel experiences I've had. I even stayed one extra night because it was just what I was needing at that point in my journey. The little extras that went toward making my stay really memorable are too numerous to list, but the tasteful décor throughout.. Believ - This is a truly great hotel and location simply cant be better. A very helpful and nice staff, free parking and much more is free for you to use like bikes, ipads and laptops, beach towels, umbrellas and toys, dvds and books. Rooms are clean and lovely. Well aired and air conditioned. We stayed in one of their Cosy rooms that had a kitchenette with microwave, fridge and everything you need to cook including plates and dishes and cutlery.   The rooms are very comfortable for two people to stay in and the view from our room was outstanding. The location of the hotel was central on the main street of Port Douglas which made everything in the street seem so close no matter where we were headed. We loved the pool and made sure we used it daily! The living area in our two bedroomed apartment was spacious and well equipped and the apartment itself was all that we needed for our stay. The Owner /Managers were very helpful and welcoming.   We are from Invercargill New Zealand and my husband, myself and 22 year old son stayed in a 2 bedroom villa for 5 nights. You absolutely could not get anything more spacious, clean, staff friendly and accommodating and perfect location, 2 streets from the main Village.
