  A beautiful expereince in a historical home in Sandy Bay. The family room met our needs with a teenage son, privacy was assured and the rooms were spotless. Breakfast was fantastic, meeting new people in a shared dining room table experience. The staff were lovely, on site parking.   Robert the duty manager and the staff were friendly and gave great service with a smile. The location suited me perfectly as I walked out of the dining room across the road and 100 meters later was on the Mona ferry. I had a harbour facing room and it was clean, warm and comfortable. Short stairways, creaky floor - Staff were brilliant. We arrived on an unusually very hot day (and our room was unfortunately on the north west corner). In the morning with all other rooms booked, we decided to curtail our pre-booked stay - staff were extremely professional, even offering to cloak our luggage until we were able to make other arrangements.   Our room was very clean and we were upgraded to a room that was on ground level.   We came as a group and booked both the "mansion" and the "coach house". Both were amazing - old houses on whose land I guess the other motel-like units were built.
