Fremantle Bed and Breakfast ist a little pearl of historic european culture in Australia - a location restorde by it's owner himself some 20 years ago - really well done work of restoration of a national herritage building, offering to tue guest an atmosphere of peacful rest in the middle of a city... This b'n'b is in a wonderful spot. Walking distance to everything including the beach, lovely cafes, marina, shoppping. Continental breakfast looked good but we didn't try it as there were so many great cafes nearby. Did not see staff but they were very nice on the phone and email.

The house was perfectly located for walking touring of Fremantle. Close to everything we wanted to see. The facility was gorgeous and clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was casual, continental but filling. The room was comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and tidy. Always one vacant when I needed it and the relaxed atmosphere of the entry sets a great mood. Other guests were friendly and offer assistance. The secure entry, having breakfast with the other guests and discussing where they were from and what they were doing in Fremantle, the quirky nature of the building that looks like a Bavarian Castle. Comfortable bed, nice room. Clean bathroom with hairdryer. Fridge. Had the door code sent to us before arrival with instructions on how to enter. Perfect location for our needs. Peter the care taker was very helpful and friendly. I wasn't there long but it was a beautiful building and accommodation was clean and comfortable, great location. Fun accommodations (restored 1890's building), welcoming staff/owner, delightful furnishings, comfortable room, satisfying breakfast - very good value!. Historical building converted into small hotel providing bed and breakfast...nice and clean place, located close to port and fishing harbour. friendly staff, when they are there, and a very central Frematle location. A curious and attractive place right in the centre of Fremantle. A very private and Freo central place to stay with lots of old world charm and comfort. Loved our stay!. Pre arrival text welcome with information regarding room etc Front door code access for good security. Privacy, cleanliness, cosy bed, and overall feeling of being spoilt on a night away from children!. The staff was excellent. We left an item behind and they kindly offered to send it to us via post. Great place to stay for weekend away, close to all the Freo sights and sounds. We'll be back. Nice room and bathroom. I liked the lounge and breakfast area too. Very nice building. Vey conveniently located,comfortable and stylish accommodation. It was a pleasurable experience after a scary start. The Bed was very comfortable and the bath room was very good and I liked the bottle of port that was down stairs . The space and layout were excellent, as were the general facilities and the comfort of the beds. this B&B is very comfortable and convenient to hang around. Convenient to Fremantle points of interest - good location. I liked that it was close to a few things. The presence of staff is rather sparce, not to say absent... No air conditioner in room. This is a basic expectation in such a hot place as Perth / Freo so we were surprised there was no air con in the room. (there was an air con on the floor that we turned on a couple of times but it turned off automatically). fragrance in aircondition,. Nothing adverse. the room size was a bit small but it served the purpose and was comfortable. Having to climb up the long staircase with our bags. Unfortunately the staff was not available to help when we arrived, but gave us clear check in instructions. The stairs, trying to balance on top step that was very narrow and key in security code. No grab rail either which can be a problem with steep steps. Only saw a staff member once and then inclined to hide in office. The air conditioning wasn't coping with the 30 degree temperatures. Very average breakfast. No yoghurt left by the time we got to breakfast at 7.30am. No light over the front door. Room key very hard to use. The floor outside our room on the first floor was a little creaky and you could hear whenever anyone walked by or went to the bathroom but ear plugs soon fixed that problem. The climb upstairs, but since it's a Heritage building, no lift is allowed. Rooms doesn't have attached toilets. Not sure how I would have got in to the place had a guest not been down stairs near the door at the time as there are no resident staff and entrance is by a numbered lock, but once in and aware of the code all was well!. nothing. Breakfast choice very basic and should perhaps be advertised as "Continental" New "state of the art" coffee maker very confusing (even the owner/manager had many attempts to eke out a cuppa! May have been better to just provide a kettle. Was too hot at night as the air con had to be turned off. There wasn't any fly screen so got a lot of mossie bites from opening the window. It was very hot and humid during my stay and yet the airconditioner was not on. Although it was 38 degrees on my first night, there was a sign stating something to the effect: 'because of the cooler weather the aircon was not to be turned on'! I'm not sure about Fremantle, but from where I come from, 38 degrees is HOT!. Long hair on the carpet in the room. Stairs to attic room Bathroom separate from main room (ie off the landing). None. shared bathroom/toilets continental breakfast - should be more of a full breakfast. Nothing comes to mind. If I didn't have a phone I would have been locked out. No one was there when we arrived and this is the firs B and B we have ever stayed at with this happening. It was a shock on a cold and wet afternoon. There was no indication on your site or that of F B and B's that this was a possibility. Once we were able to contact the proprietors and get a code to get in the rest of our stay was most enjoyable. Didn`t like the breakfast because the power went out and the hot water jug was cold ,so we couldn't have a tea and there was no staff at all to tell us where the fuse box was and no telephone contact .we were in the dark in the morning with other`s . The breakfast was basic, the bathroom pump was noisy (probably unavoidable) and there was light in the early morning through the blinds. The cost was expensive compared with Victorian prices but probably good for WA. Breakfast is fairly simple. Not very convenient to contact with the staff during weekends. Our room (attic) smelt of urine - rat or possum - and it was unpleasant. I thought it was disgusting that we paid $145 to sleep in 2 single beds that were way to small even though we are a married couple. Also thought it was very disgusting that you are expected to get up in the morning make your own breakfast which (they class as continental ) cereal or toast we woke up & left very poor value for money will never go back.
