The motel was centrally located. We were greeted by a lovely man. The room was large with a fridge, a microwave and tea and coffe making facilities. Even though the furniture is old and tired it was comfortable. We were able to save money by buying frozen meals for dinner and having cereal for breakfast. All in all we would recommend this motel for the budget conscious . Don't let the tired exterior put you off.

Thanks to all the staff. old but clean room, comfortable beds, good location to major tourist sites, affordable and quiet except for.... see negative responses. We loved the seventies retro look, its how it was then and such a hoot, and was as comfortable as we wanted, don't change the décor. Convenience; friendly helpful staff; spacious room; bed comfortable; easy access to city and highway. Just what we needed. Good motel, comfortable and clean, with friendly reception and cooking stuff in the room. Plenty room for parking. It was clean inside and outside. Location is good as I drove from Melbourne. Close to lots of restaurants and CBD. Pleasant staff, large room, double glazing so therefore quiet, far enough out so a pleasant cycle into the city. Bed was comfy, shower was nice & hot, clean. Housekeeping was fantastic, room was clean, quiet, comfortable. Great location-easy walking distance to the variety of restaurants at Dickson. Very comfortable bed, big room. Great place which was very roomy and could have so much potential. Staff was lovely and helpful. Friendly staff, easy access by bus to all places of interest plus short walk to restaurants. Location was suitable for the reason for my trip and it was the only accommodation available below $200 per night in that location. Probably wouldn't stay ther again. The single bed in our room was too soft....age. the pillows were awful, had to roll up a coat to use instead. One was a really hard slab and the other very lumpy. Also some pipes? above our bathroom were banging/knocking noises at intervals during the night - couldn't quite figure out where the noise was coming from. Bathroom was a little scruffy but the shower was just perfect, all over good value in the middle of town, we loved it. No serious dislikes, though sofa was grubby and could be replaced. Also just enough blankets (and the weather wasn't very cold) so good doona would be appreciated. Nothing serious. Bad TV reception/set, no WiFi. The scratchy toilet paper and the worn out towels. The microwave was absolutely disgusting and had food splattered completely all over the whole inside of the microwave and it could not be used at all and the stench of this was appalling too. I would have rung and complained to staff however it was midnight when I went to use it to heat up a babies bottle and it we checked out at 5.30am the next morning so could not leave feedback then either. No complaints. Bit grubby. Badly needs refurbishing. Digital TV struggled to get a signal from a 'rabbit ears' aerial. No electric blankets though were warm enough with the noisy reverse cycle air conditioner left on. Parking is random (first in) so often not near room. Dripping taps. Did not enjoy the comfort of the mattress I thought it was in need of replacing... nothing. Broken soap holder in shower. insufficient cutlery /crockery,bathroom taps needed attention (hard to turn off-staff notified ). I didnt get a tax invoice/receipt. No real green space. The motel was very old and needs renovation. Even cups and chairs were odd. The extractor fan on above the loo was really dusty. It's a trivial complaint, but it's not a great throught when you're sitting right below it!. No phone in room. bathroom is old and decaying. They need to remove Nrma sign on front of building as they don't give member discounts!. Very tired motel in desperate need of some TLC! Appeared the owners are waiting for an offer so it can be knocked down and replaced with units. It was not clean the paint was peeling off the walls the bathroom had a weary bad smell maybe the drain? It is very overdue for a good paint and refurbish wich doesn't take much to do we booked 3 rooms and they were all the same non standard the place was not vacuumed for the 4 days we were there wich it could have done with no information booklet to give travellers an idea of the surrounds the place has great potential as the rooms were quite large. Very basic accommodation. Needs a coat of paint. Not quite clean - floors, windows, TV screen. Aerial for TV was sticky-taped on to top of set, so not very effective. No microwave, no hairdryer, dribble for a shower. Needs new furniture. Problems getting TV reception Whole complex needs renovating. i got the impression the developers are not too far away. Make sure that basic things are functioning, eg. should not have leaky taps and also should have a soap holder in the shower. No meals available. TV reception poor or not there. Mould on the shower curtain and very dirty carpet. rooms are old and dated bathroom mouldy and/or dirty only 2 cups no staff/nowhere to leave key at check out time. Unable to open any window for fresh air. Very basic motel & expensive for what you get. dirty carpet no glasses toaster. Far from city. The place is undergoing renovations. No meal facilities. No modern heating/cooling (electric heater in wall). Fan in room.
