Location, nice helpful staff, close to historic sites, price was very reasonable. We were adult family - 2 sisters, 1 brother and sister-in-law (no category for that above) exploring St. Augustine and Savannah for the first time. Staff let us leave our car parked for the day (after checking out) while we spent more time exploring the sites before leaving town. Staff called trolley company to pick us up at the door! Very nice!.

The fact that it was inexpensive had me a little worried, and when I pulled up to the hotel, I had my doubts, but was surprised at the look and smell of the rooms..they looked confortable, clean ans smelled pleasant. The employee Jayda who attended us was phenomenal!! She was so attentive and helpful. Made the stay even better. The room was clean and in easy walking distance of historic downtown St. Augustine. Our room was used to sleep and shower. We walked to dinner and spent the evening in town and walked back to town in the morning for breakfast. Hotel was pre-renovation and clearly labeled as such. It served our purposes very well. We've stayed at the San Marco Inn several times when it was still The Ramada Inn. We've always had a very enjoyable experience and this was no different. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. For the price, it was very comfortable. And proximity to the historic district was also a plus. the location was excellent but also the price was outstanding...The room was clean, bed was comfortable...I can see why the renovations are going to happen but hate to see the price go up. Sluggers was excellent with great food and prices!!!!. The staff was very nice and helpful, my mother had a service dog and they made sure there were no problems with that. It was very clean and soon they are going to be doing renovations so they made the prices for staying extremely reasonable!. Being close to the Historic area and taking in the attractions, foods, shopping and fun of St. Augustine. We were able to walk from our hotel to the sites we wanted to see. The hotel staff were ever so helpful so we thank them!. The price was great! It was walking distance to the city sights...the lady at the front desk was so helpful with all our questions on the local things to do. We stayed Sunday 7th and left the next morning on the 8th. The location was excellant in the middle of the trolley stops and the historic distric. Made for a great place to stay for a romantic vacation. Great resturants and shops were within walking distance. Didn't want to spend a lot on a hotel room since I knew we would be out sight seeing all day. Just wanted a place to sleep at night. So the price was excellant (pre renovation special rates). I would say that it is well located,clean,customer oriented and friendly personel. I would recomend it to everyone. I am looking forward to my following trip to St. Augustine. The staff was great and with St. George street and Castillo de San Marcos within walking distance this hotel made for a perfect location for a weekend getaway. It was very clean and in a good location for downtown. The staff was very freindly and excellent in their help finding things in town. The staff was super nice and the location just perfect. Walking distance from downtown, and an awesome bakery is on the way :). It was convienent to the Wedding Venue we went to, and the Restaurant was Wonderful... Food and Staff were great. Staff was extremely friendly. Location was perfect for visiting the city if you do a road trip. We stayed for a total of 3 days and enjoyed the breakfasts that were very good and reasonable. We only stayed for one night this time but it was a success all around. I only had to ask for an ashtray. Nothing. Hotel needed a lot of work. We realized that renovation is going to take place,but it could have been a little bit cleaner in our room. We also missed having a mini fridge and a microwave in our room. There is so much to see and do in St.A That we could have spent another 2-3 days there if we'd had more time to do so. Could use an upgrade in the room as far as decorations...but I understand that is in the certain future. The sports bar and lounge were not what we thought they would be. Looked like a banquet hall with a bar attached in another room. Resturant service was horrible and lacking proper training. The first night we were kept awake all night with a couple fighting and screaming next door. At 5 am the police finally showed up and evicted them. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep that night. I have no comment at at all. Hotel is currently under renovation. Nothing. My room smelled of mold a little, but not my friend's room, so I guess some do some don't. Also the hotel is under complete renovation and I think they'll do a nice job. I understand it was recently purchased and was being worked on... The comode seemed to have a very small leak, it sounded like the "coffee pot" was brewing all the time. The vent fan in the bath didn't work, The TV didn't get very good reception. Needs an upgrade and bathroom could be cleaner. There was no exercise facility and of course the TV's were old and didn't offer enough channels. No microwave or no refrigerator in room. Renovation in progress but not a bother , need chairs in room. It will be a really good package when thew renovations are done... and they need to renovate. Hope the prices don't double, though I would expect (and would pay) more. Restaurant servers seemed unkept and dirty. No chair in room. No breakfast. Rooms are a bit dated. Pillows WAY too soft, no chairs in room, no refrigerator. TV buzzed, Covers had holes,. The noise of some other guests, meaning extremely rude and loud bikers!. The tub had mildew and the smell was horrible but I did ask for it to be cloroxed and it did help a lot! Except for that I would stay again!. The carpet needs to be replaced in the room. Hotel was tired. TV old had a snowy picture. Sink vanity was cracked. Shower was old. Curtains were so old that there were holes in them. Room door was functional but in bad shape. The hotel is in dire need of the upcoming renovation. Old bath room fixtures with rust Slugger's cafe.....needs cleaning and complete reno. Wasted time driving around looking for "Ramada" when the name was actually San Marco Inn...prior notification would have been the professional thing to do. walls need noise proof. The facility had changed it's name, so that caused a little bit of confusion. The Rain haha. no water pressure. No kitchen in the rooms. Free wifi worked for 2 hours and then it was down The hotel really, really needs renovation urgently. Older hotel. The bar next door. Dated. They are going to close for total renovation shortly. Pool closed too early for guests that have been to the city. TV reception. The room did not have any chairs in it. It had a nice size table to eat & read the paper but it needed chairs. We had trouble with the door key / card getting in the room.
