Everything. It is a family friendly, family run hotel in a great location in Old SJ. Can walk to everything. It is not hard on the budget. It is not a luxury hotel, so if that is what you are looking for, stay elsewhere. However, it meets your basic travel needs (clean room, good bed, clean shower) and for us it was perfect. Stay there!! -

Excellent hotel in a fantastic location. All of your needs are in a 5 block radius. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have ever had. Even if a tad pricey, the service was superb. The waitress Diana was out of this world. Her service was beyond excellent.
If you can, get a room facing the beach. It is worth the extra price. The view is spectacular.

The hotel was above than our expectations, is very beatiful, clean, and the staff in all the areas are very friendly, helpfull and efficient. We stay just one night, we were in transit, but we love the hotel and the few places we saw in San Juan, we definetly will be back for vacations. Totally recommended. -

Really it is a familiar environment. It is close to every important place and the service was very good. Specially the gentleman that was security at night, he always help me to get my parking for disables because my husband is visually impair. No matter at what time I get to the hotel he moved the cars so I can park close to the entrance.

A lovely place to stay. Nicely designed and clean and friendly. Stop looking, you won't find a better hotel for the money. The food was fantastic as well. Close to airport, centrally located for attractions. Don't miss the rain forest just outside of town and car rental is very affordable in San Juan.

I liked the unintentional retro-funky look to the property. It was neat in so many ways....cool pool, restaurant, greenery, etc. The desk personnel were both greate. -
The staff was really nice, the facilities were very nice too, I looked the look and decoration of the place. It's a perfect spot to have a local feel of Puerto Rico.

Only a block from the beach, the location is excellent. It is very clean and picturesque. A spoiled rotten pet cat who greeted all guests completed the "home away from home" treatment.
The swimming pool is beautiful, and the staff could not be friendlier. The room was very comfortable and clean.
I had local friends who visited me tell me that the site is lovely!
Most definitely will return...

We booked this as a pre-cruise hotel stay in Old San Juan so we could be close to the action. We were NOT disappointed! Upon arrival and checking in we were informed that we had been given an upgrade. No idea how that happened, but it was wonderful! It was to the Presidential Suite on the 6th floor and it was simply outstanding! The Hotel Plaza De Armas was the perfect location for exploring Old San Juan! The free trolley stops right at the door and the cruise and ferry docks are an easy walk away. Nice, OLD, OLD hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. Within walking distance to many of the things to see and a fairly short taxi ride to the airport and cruise port for Celebrity Cruises. Other cruise terminals are even closer.
The hotel had no special attractions other than old world charm, good location and GREAT staff. Luis Garzon was especially helpful with directions, restaurants, tour trolleys and using the antiquated elevator -- when it worked. When it broke down, hotel staff was quick

Courtyard was beautiful and provided guests a great place to relax and
