  Location is terrific. Design of building takes advantage of harbor side location. Convenient to walking the town & to public transportation. Nice hotel shop with reasonable prices. - The location was perfect. We took the trolley tour which was right next door. The restaurant and bar had good food and reasonable prices.

  The staff was very friendly and helped us with questions about Newport. We got great tips about restaurants. Everyone was very helpful and nice. For example they always wanted to help with our stroller going up and down the stairs. This is an old house so it´s kind of narrow in the hallways but it was no problem getting around. The location is - We loved our visit to Newport and will stay here again! The staff was wonderful and gave us great recommendations for restaurants in the area. Everything but the beaches and mansions were in walking distance. The breakfast was simple but filling and fresh each morning, with fruit and/or cookies out each day and afternoon. The room was great, and we especially enjoyed the deck...a great place for a glass of wine or cup of coffee! Thanks so much for a great stay!

  I thought the Inn had everything that we needed for our week end in Newport, RI. The staff was great, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was great. Plus, there was always a pot of fresh coffee. I would book this Inn again.   I loved the in-town location, being able to park my car and never get in it again til it was time to leave. You could look out the windows and see the harbor, James Town, and Goat Island in the distance. The shopping was fabulous. Everything within walking distance. I didn't go to the mansions as I've done that in the past but all that did loved them. As I left Newport I - We loved being in the thick of things in downtown Newport. We Loved Jane, the manager, who was very thorough, friendly, and helpful. We loved the sheets and th comfort of the bed. We Loved th view of the harbor from our room and the spaciousness of our room and sitting area.For the price, some higher qualitybaked goods would have been betterfor the included continental breakfast.   This was our first Bed & Breakfast so we were a little skeptical. We were so pleased with the Inn Keeper Cindy. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome, and we were comfortable. Her breakfast was fantastic but nothing topped her chocolate chip cookies! She even gave us a bag of them for our long trip home! Thanks! - The property was well maintained and the room was beautiful. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. For early risers or late night arrivals there was either a continental breakfast or fresh cookies and beverages. The full breakfast at 9am was a pleasant experience that started our day of exploring with a full belly. The room was very romantic and spacious. I will stay here again and their off season rates are very reasonable while still including the amenities.

  Stayed on 1st Fl Rm 105. Hotels location was a plus being so near Thames Street & waterfront. The underground garage was great since our car was secure while we walked all over Newport. Housekeeping inquired every night whether any thing was needed prior to morning. The bare brick walls were a nice decor/touch. Lots of nice little touches....soft robes, fluffy pillows, good-nite note w/ gummy bears instead of chocolates :-)! Would definitely stay here again!

  The hotel is right in the center of everything there is to do. You can walk everywhere except to the mansions and then the Visitors Center is only a block away and you can get a bus to take you to the mansions. Our car never left the parking lot. It was near the waterfront as well as shopping and restaurants. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They gave excellent directions to nearby sights. Parking, although extra, was conveniently located across the street; just a few steps from the inn.   I had guests from Florida and wished to show them where I had grown up in Newport. There was no way I could have afforded two rooms anywhere else. They were relatively clean, the bed was comfortable and it was a good basic room with refrigerator and microwave.   Our hostess was very informative about Newport's history and it's surrounding area . She made us very welcome . She explained that the hot entree at breakfast was just one choice which changed daily but was happy to make us something else if we didn't like it . We needn't have worried . Both days breakfast were delicious . As was the cold buffet ... vad folk säger » both days, including fresh baked goods and home made granola. All delicious ! When we checked out I told her I suspected it would be the best breakfa - This Inn was a jewel in our east coast journey. It was also the most expensive night for us, but in Newport, you have to expect a higher price. We were happy that we could park the car in their lot, and walked where we wanted to until we checked out the next day. We did the Cliff walk early in the morning, the best time in the heat of the summer. This Inn is truly a treasure!
