  Hotel 414 was great! We visited in July 2013 for 8 days. We found all the staff to be super friendly and helpful. They gave us several maps, made recommendations for nearby restaurants and Broadway shows and helped us book our train to DC. The breakfast was great! I loved that we had a fridge in our room too because I could buy my own lactose free milk and keep it in there to bring down for breakfast - 1.Great location in Midtown, it's right near everything; broadway shows,public transport, numerous restaurants, etc. 2. It's quiet; we had a room on the 3rd floor facing the courtyard and there was little noise from outside, or, from other rooms 3. It's reasonably priced. We stayed for 11 days and the total accommodation bill was great for a central Manhattan hotel 4. It feels more like a B & B than a big hotel which I much preferred 5. A good continental breakfast was included in the room

  The staff. The library was a nice place to meet guests at breakfast time. The breakfasts were great and superb value. Lovely feeling about the place and nice local bar on ground floor. The rooms were huge for New York. Coffee and cakes available throughout the day and evening. - Loved our short stay here. Great location and charming inn - more like staying in a home than a hotel, which is especially hard to come by in New York. We had large, comfortable room on the main floor. Friendly staff (and friendly cat!), cozy breakfast room. We liked the bar downstairs as well. We will definitely come back here another time.

  We live 60 plus miles from the city and have come in often for weekends and stayed in numerous hotels over the years.   Outside construction noise worried me upon arrival, but we were given a room that faced the back courtyard and overall our stay was very quiet. The room itself was beautiful and very tastefully decorated. While smaller than usual hotel rooms, it provided us with enough space for a short weekend stay.   I loved everything! I came to celebrate my 50th birthday on my own in NYC. The Distrikt was the perfect choice for my 11 night stay - awesome staff, awesome room and awesome view too. In fact the hotel looks just like the phot - The location of this hotel was excellent, it was approx 10-15 mins max walk from the main centre of Times Square. I had looked at other hotels nearer to Times Square prior to going that were more expensive, but found so many hidden gems with food and bars on the walk to Times Square that both my wife and I would certainly use this Hotel again in the future. The Beer Authority Pub was just down the street that was a great place to drink and eat. The Buffalo wings are H-h-h-hooot. The hotel staff
