The location was excellent. the front desk starting with Christian, he always explianed how to get to our destination and he even wrote directions and marked on the map. i needed an extra room and he was always accomodating. We enjoyed our stay ,Staff was friendly & very accomodating,Bed was extremely comfortable ..& there were no surprises..The room was exactly what it said.. yes it was small ,but we were aware of that when we booked..For a room in this area we definately got what we needed at a resonable price...we had a great trip..& we would stay there again....

Personalen vartillmötesgående då man behövde hjälp. - yes but prefer a more central location, but can´t beat value for money in NYC. - The price was terrefic. Location not bad, very clean friendly staff. Free wifi on hotel's computer in lobby. Great for checking e mails etc.

The location is perfect. Pretty near of touristic sites, such as Time Square, Rockfeller Center, Empire State Building and others. Subway lines are pretty near also. The rooms are cleaned everyday. The hotel was very interesting, it had a very vintage feel to it like the studios in foreign movies. The room was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable! I also loved how close it was to everything we planned on doing in Manhattan. The staff was all super friendly and they even had a security buzzer on the entrance which was a plus for me.

When we arrived we were allowed to check in two hours early, and were given the choice of two different rooms - that was very kind and we got a big room as a result. The location is pretty great as long as you don't mind a bit of walking, but that's the same across New York. A bit expensive, but again, that's just New York. I'd stay there again -

The location! Just two blocks away from Time Square. Unbeatable for this price. Plenty of foodshops around.
The staff: the receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful (thanks Joey! ;-) + they can arrange transport to the airport, which was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back there on a next trip to NYC.

When I book a hotel in midtown Manhatten for under $200, I am happy with

Hotel 31. It is no frills, so anyone who comes from out of town

This is a lovely small hotel at a very convenient and perfectly safe location. It really is at the center - so I walked most of the sightseeing attractions nearby. The staff is very friendly, organized and always available. I stayed in a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was always free and clean when I wanted to use it. My bed was big enough and very comfortable and there was a sink in the room so I could wash my face and teeth without needing to go to the bathroom. My room was cleane

Wonderful location 5 minutes walk from Times Square. Small but
comfortable and very clean room. Facilities like shower, hair-dryer and
alarm clock worked properly. Air- conditioning and a fan-heater were
provided. Really lovely staff on the front desk - they went to a lot of
trouble working out transport arrangements for us and finding out about
museums we wanted to visit. Simple but nice continental breakfast.

My husband and I really enjoyed the experience. The arrangement is particularly nice for business travelers staying longer, as it has a kitchen. The area is chockfull of nice eateries if eating out is your preference. (We ate all of our meals in the neighborhood).

Perfect place to visit nyc and sleep after an exhausting day. The room
was small and the mattress quite hard but we slept like babies. It was
cleaned and the towels in the ensuite bathroom changed everyday. Staff
couldn't be more helpful and nice. For the excellent price we also
got breakfast consisting of coffee/tea and a lovely
croissant/omelett

I love this little Inn. It is by far the least expensive place to stay in Chelsea/Flatiron. It is not fancy by any means but it is quiet and the location is great. The location and the courteous staff! Very comfortable and quiet and clean and you can get the sense of actually living there when you stay in this wonderful historic building. I will always book at the Chelsea Inn whenever I travel to NYC. The location is central to Union Square Station, and only one block over from 5th Avenue. From here, it's easy to get to anywhere in this beautiful City!

Great staff and very helpful. Lovely hardwood floors and kitchenette in the rooms....it makes you feel like you are actually living in a flat in NYC. Free exercise included (there is no elevator, so you have to climb the stairs, no problem because you'll need to burn calories after feasting on NYC's culinary delights). -
