Cookies, fruit and coffee available all day for no extra charge, and a decent breakfast (no eggs, etc). Customer service is very good, John at the reception the night we have arrived was very helpful. They served a continental breakfast ;fruits, bagels, toasts, cereals, juice and coffee, breakfast is at the reception a bit too small but there is a deck behind the reception that you can go with your breakfast. Room is cleaned, free parking.
You can walk to the aquarium (about 20 minutes), very nice a <<must to do<<.
Very good value for your money.

I liked that the hotel was built in 1904 and it was filled with so much history, that you could feel it when walking through the door. We have stayed only 1 night, but enjoyed this pleasant stay! Excellent location (incl. local farmers' market down the street on Tuesday), beautiful historic architecture and relevant interior style, close public parking possibility, nearby convenience store, very friendly & helpful staff, good breakfast (spacious room, nice music, quiet atmosphere, simple but good food choice incl.fast oatmeal porridge, yoghurt, take-away tea/coffee)

The hotel location was great as it was close to everything. I told the staff I was celebrating an anniversary and not only did they give us a complimentary bottle of wine, but they called the restaurant where we had a reservation and told them so they did something special for us. The hotel room was clean. The hotel restaurant was great.

What a beautiful town & hotel.Stayed here for 5 days in July as we had travelled to see the Moto Gp racing at Laguna Seca. We had Yamaha & Ducati pit crew staying in our hotel. Well placed for the Harbour and bars etc. Fishermans Wharf is beautiful. must have been around 1000 motorbikes parked n the streets. Amazing place. Will definitely

Room was spacious and airy. Really quiet. Solid structure, walls kept out the noise.
Location - close enough to the center that easily accessible to all the main Monterey attractions but far enough off Cannery row that it was really nice and quiet when it was time to call it a night.

I booked the hotel on my iPhone as we drove down the coast. I knew nothing about it. What a wonderful surprise--loved the room with all the amenities. Since we arrived at 8 p.m., we didn't have time to enjoy the seating area or the balcony, but we liked having breakfast in the room. Loved the plantings and fountains. Love the location--walked to dinner and in the morning to the wharf. Charming and cozy.

Hotel is in a great part of the coast between LA and SF. The hotel was comfortable and within walking distance of the shops. We did drive to the old fisherman's wharf. But this was because we were out of time and tired. All part of the hotel were clean but we were a bit disappointed we could not do the laundry after 10 pm. Breakfast was good howev

Overall a good place to stay -
The hotel was good. Had a self service laundry. Some rooms have a chaise lounge which was big enough for our 11 year old to sleep on, but make sure you ask for one when you check in. The hotel is on the edge of town, but walking distance to Fishermans wharf. There is a free tram to Cannery row and the aquarium. Best place to eat - Rosines on Alverado street. HUGE portions of cake. Best breakfast - Denny's just across the road.

Owner Sharon is great! Very friendly, truly making an effort to make the place the best it can be. Homemade muffins are awesome. Room was clean and smelled good. Our room even had a small fireplace. Great location too.

This place was my best experience with hotels/motels during my trip
by California We where really impressed by confortable rooms and very
friendly and helpfull staff of the El Adobe Continental breakfast was
also surprising: while most of the motels/hotels used to provide
just coffee with some strange and not fresh buns, here we have found
fresh :) puns, juice, toasts with butter and chocolate cakes. Location
is also very great - very close to wharf and aquarium

The manager was very quick about giving us a new room without question
