  The staff was more than helpful. On our last morning, when running to the car to grab something, realized it had been towed!! The front desk helped calm us down, while providing instructions and directions on how to find our car. Kept our room for us until we were able to get it and return. Plenty to do right around the hote - I received a very warm and friendly welcome from Ana in the Chelsea Pines Inn, and all the staff there were charming and lovely throughout my short stay. The location of this Inn is excellent - a few steps away from an underground station, Chelsea Market and the High Line. Small touches like complimentary water and printing facilities makes Chelsea Pines Inn compare favourably to more upscale places I stayed in ny (where they were charging $8 for a small bottle of water!).

  Great staff and very helpful. Lovely hardwood floors and kitchenette in the rooms....it makes you feel like you are actually living in a flat in NYC. Free exercise included (there is no elevator, so you have to climb the stairs, no problem because you'll need to burn calories after feasting on NYC's culinary delights). - Staff was superb!   I am a designer and i loved the whole design of this hotel, everything was exceptional in its design and finish, far beyond the likes of any other hotel. I liked the pictures on the net before I booked but you most definitely have to see this place to believe it, especially the swimming pool, nestled between two asymmetric stainless steel towered... vad folk säger » walls that look like there are from another dement ion , the whole pool area is stunning but the jewel in the crown of this hotel is the AMAZING poli - The staff are fabulous, very friendly, professional, cannot do more to help. The pool is great - at times (weekend afternoons when the sun is out) it is quite a "scene" which might annoy someone looking to relax but it is what it is (and at other times it is very relaxing). The restaurants are very good and the rooftop bar/club PHD is great on a Saturday (although be aware that it is run separately from the hotel so after 11 or so, being a hotel guest does not guarantee access).   We (young couple - 28 yo) stayed in this hostel during one week to visit ny. We spent a very nice time at this place. The bedroom (economy-cheap) was little but nice, confortable and clean (queen bed, sink, mirror, window). We had a shared bathroom always clean and available (morning and evening) ! The breakfast was very nice (cereals, some fruits... vad folk säger » , bread, bagel, hard egg, jam, butter, honey, tea, coffee, milk, juice ...). The location was perfect to visit Manhattan, very close to metro, between - Frankie at the front desk was wonderful. The location was very close to the 8th avenue subway station which was a nice line to ride and see the city. The breakfast was delicious and the other guests were friendly. The water pressure in the shower was good (a plus for me). The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job cleaning the room daily. Very quiet during our stay both from other rooms and from the outside. There is a grocery store on 8th ave between 22nd and 21st (2 minute walk).

  staff - friendly and very helpful, changed our room the following day we asked for it, rooms - very nicely arranged and clean, cool metro-style bathrooms, lavender aroma and pretty good complimentary coffee. very good location, just next to Highline, quiet during the night, comfortable mattress and good size bed (King) in our first room. Nice view... vad folk säger » from our second room onto a quiet Chelsea street and the top of Empire state bldg. They have quite a nice roof top. It is ny so the rooms are smaaaaa - The staff, location and excellent value. The rooms are small but very nicely equipped. 22nd street is more quiet than most, so the street noise was very low for NY. Neighborhood is full of restaurants and shops, subway is a short block away, and there is a Citibike stand right outside the front door.

  I love this little Inn. It is by far the least expensive place to stay in Chelsea/Flatiron. It is not fancy by any means but it is quiet and the location is great. It's half a block off 5th ave shopping, two blocks from Union square and 2 blocks from 8th Ave in Chelsea. The rooms have a refrigerator which was rare to find for the price. There... vad folk säger » is a speak easy bar right next door (black awning no sign, down the stairs) with a great patio in the back. The continental breakfast next door has - The location and the courteous staff! Very comfortable and quiet and clean and you can get the sense of actually living there when you stay in this wonderful historic building. I will always book at the Chelsea Inn whenever I travel to NYC. The location is central to Union Square Station, and only one block over from 5th Avenue. From here, it's easy to get to anywhere in this beautiful City!
