This Inn stands out because of the genial hosts, comfortable room, beautiful view of the harbor, and its location to the things we wanted to see and do in Gloucester. The well-maintained flower garden at the front of the Inn was a bonus for me, flower-gardener that I am myself - really stunning, and the prettiest house around. Will definitely return on our next New England trip. The location was perfect, right across from the beach. The host was unbelievably obliging, friendly, and always concerned with our comfort. The host threw a barbecue for some of his family and friends and invited us to participate. What's better than burgers and lobster rolls for 4th of July. We had ring-side seats for an amazing fireworks display and laser light show.
alla recensioner » Owners were fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the area. On call if you are out and about and have questions. The furniture is all antique with lots of detail in the woodwork. Great view of the harbor. Would highly recommend!!. Harborview is what uk would call a B&B. Continental style breakfast which was more than adequate but for me some ham or bacon would have been good.Superb location on harbour front and good for Downtown and pubs!. The location was great, the accommodations were perfect, and the hosts were wonderful. We loved talking with John and learning all about the history of the house and the area. Can't wait to go back to visit again!. The B&B was clean, decorated in the typical Victorian style of New England. The room was small but clean and comfortable. John Orlando, owner/host, was delightful, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The location was perfect and our innkeeper, John Orlando, was an excellent host. His personal local knowledge and willingness to share made our stay remarkable. The owner is very warm and friendly. Nice change from large, generic hotels. Inn was quaint and charming, and a short walk to everything in Gloucester. Period furnishings, victorian decor, romantic feel to the place, privacy, short walking distance from town shops and restaurants, onsite parking. Very pretty Inn. Would stay there again. That it was the only accommodations we could find on a busy, summer weekend in Gloucester. Proximity to sea and restaurants. We had a room on the 3rd floor and it was a bit cramped. The bed looked like a king, but was actually two twins put together. Made for an uncomfortable valley in the middle. Don't expect luxury accommodations. This an older building, built by the Gorton family of Gloucester. But it's kept up nicely, so set your expectations accordingly and you'll enjoy it. It was pricier than I had wanted to pay. There wasn't a lot to do in Gloucester, and I could have done both Rockport and Gloucester in on day trip. I would have then stayed overnight in Rockport as I moved up the coast. Bedroom needed a 'tidy up'. Nothing. Nothing!. Bathroom could do with an upgrade. Most museums were closed. The bed was too soft; the 16-inch tv; dimming lights when plugging in the phone chargers and a noisy and inefficient window air conditioner. It's a 200 year old house and, of course, is a bit rickety, but for the price needs some upkeep. Small room.
