  I loved the new carpet and soft, wonderful new beds. The atmosphere of the entire place was excellent. Loved the free water for outings, the snacks (though we didn't take any), and the uniquely real people who staffed the front desk. Each one was genuinely a kind, considerate person! Loved them! We stayed there 6 nights, and though that's a long time, we got 6 memorable, pl - The staff was awesome. The front desk gentleman was very welcoming and gave us great insight into the local dining locations. The lobby featured a eraser board that "ranked" the local eateries and that was very helpful. The young lady who checked us out was most gracious and accomadating and even loaded us up with extra granola bars for the day.   The Inn is placed just outside the centre of Estes Park which makes it easy to access and yet handy to go into the town if necessary. It has a great outlook onto the mountains and is of course convenient for access to The Rocky Mountain National Park.   There is only one motel in Estes Park, Colorado. It is called the Maxwell Inn. Ani and I stayed there recently for our 20th wedding anniversary.   I would highly recommend Appenzell Inn. The staff was cordial and helpful. The room was recently updated and very much like hotel decor from Switzerland.   We got an upgrade on our room and we just loved it. I think I caould live there if you rented it out monthly. The people were so nice just like being at home. - Great staff. Their restaurant was great. The view was wonderful and the staff was great.

  This is a really great value. It's not fancy, but it is CLEAN and the surprisingly spacious. The continental breakfast has everything you might want and although I know the managers didn't do this on purpose, I thought it was so cool that when we came out for breakfast, there was a wild elk just hanging out on the grass area.   Loved the location right in downtown. The room was exceptionally clean and the sheets and towels were luxurious. Also, the room was very spacious for a motel room.   Views were awesome. The Elk were constant visitors around the property and I got some excellent photos of some very large Elk does and males. When leaving on my last day there, I came out to find a large male just 10 to 15 feet away from the door laying in the snow and watching the does.
