We has a river view which was great. The room was nice and quiet. The food at the motel was good. There is also a water park for the kids which is really nice. I would recommend this motel to any one planning to stay in Dubuque. We have stayed here twice over the years and have never had a complaint. Dubuque is doing a good job renovating its waterfront areas on the Mississippi River and this hotel is a showcase of that. There is a nice path along the river for a stroll or run and accessible WiFi.
alla recensioner » We love the location of Grand Harbor, Tony Romo's Resturant at the same location and a great value for our money. It's a great place and the scenery is beautiful. The Water Park was great, lots of clean towels, lifeguards on duty, variety of things to do. Special activities for the kids. Museum next door. Very scenic. Riverboat Twilight. Walk is short distant to the main street. Nice, comfortable room. Since I booked it thru letsbookhotel.com, I got a good price. Lots of things to do in a close proximity, easy to walk or drive to many attractions. River front, river walk, great location near museum and downtown. Good restaurant. Location on the River nice place to walk very affordable and well maintained. Beautiful view of the Mississippi. Clean. Good food. Close to Casino. quietness, good bedding location to elevators and canteen services. Rooms were great. Had a great view overlooking downtown Dubuque. Everything was great. Very clean. Great security. Large rooms. The location was ideal for the one-day "Twilight" cruise. Proximity to the concert venue, which was in the casino. Restaurant is good and the beds/pillows are comfortable. Friendly staff, location, clean, quiet. Like view over the Mississippi. Really good desk staff. The location of hotel. Location and view. Children enjoyed the stay, 6, 8, and 10 yrs. Good restaurant. We liked the location across from Diamond Joe Casino. Close to Galena and the casinos. Nice River view. Room was big Restaurant attatched was wonderful. It was clean. water park. The only negative thing I can think of is that when you turn on the tv in your room it automatically comes on to the Fox Network. Since we were not there to watch tv that didn't bother us. There is a weird layout to this building. To check in, you need to go to the second floor via elevator. I am not sure that this is a very open design. Pillows were very lumpy and the walls were thin. While the hotel was busy, I did hear the couple next to me talking and kids coming back from the waterpark. Nothing. nothing. I didn't see anything that I didn't like. No outdoor pool or beach area. nothing. diamond joe'S - slots very tight!. There was only 1 elevator for 7 floors of rooms. The indoor water park was not part of the room, it would cost extra, a lot extra for the quality of that water park. There was no swimming pool for guest other than the water park. I didn't like the fact that people would get on the elevator dripping wet from the water park. The drain on the sink was v-e-r-y slow and the alarm clock was un-settable. The clock problem was solved by arranging a wake-up call. Wish there was a bar in the hotel. beds a bit on the firm side. Microwave didn't work. No pool. Didn't get a river view room. Always had before. So will make sure I do next time or else go somewhere else. The beauty of staying their us a view if river. Also the desk clerks must have had a bad day. Not very friendly and always have in past. room was just average at best. amenities were not first class. Room getting run down. Torn wallpaper etc. The toilet tissue was not very convenient to reach. Only 2 elevators. Long waits on elevators during check in, check out, and getting to the waterpark. Luggage carts were not available when needed, did not have bellhop to help with luggage or he didn't care to help. I had to make 5 + trips down to take luggage and bags to car. My husband is handicaped and it was up to me (68 yrs old) to take care of all this. Yikes, what a nightmare!!. There was a lot of noise overnight from other guests in the hall and we had to call and complain twice, once at 2am and again at 3am. After our room was cleaned, we found a cigarette butt and a wine glass and a roll of plastic bags so those things must have fallen out of the maid's cart? Not sure it was worth the price. Our room cost $170 and that did not include the waterpark which was an extra $40. The waterpark area and water was cold and not worth the $200+ that we spent to go. Absolutely ridiculous. I was overcharged for my room. I orderd a suit and they charged me for it but gave me a standard room. No type of continental breakfast.
