We were looking for a quiet getaway for the long July 4 weekend, and that's exactly what we got. We stayed in the lodge itself (there are also cottages with more amenities, which cost more), and had a clean, comfortable room. There was a hiking trail onsite that we enjoyed, and big pool that seemed empty most of the time. The lodge has obviously been around since at least the 1950s, and has retained that mid-20th century charm, including an owner who walks around during the (free) breakfast .
alla recensioner » The owner and the staff were extremely nice and friendly. When the owner found out that I have cancer and my husband has a back injury, he offered to upgrade us to a cottage so that we wouldn't have to climb the stairs. He also had a breakfast tray brought up to my husband. The room was very comfortable, and the lodge and its grounds are beautiful. We hope to go back during the summer so we can use the pool. The staff were all very professional , friendly and accomodating They have a beautiful pool area and the setting of this place is very relaxing and peacful.Also a nice bar and a restaraunt on site. Dinner was fabulous ! I liked it alot they seemed to genuinely care about your stay and I would definately stay again. Looking for a place to stay one night while we visited friends in Mt Pocono. We like the quaint places and something with character. We decided to try Crescent Lodge because of its location and reviews. We were very pleased with our choice, and wished we would have had more time to spend there. Room was lovely & elegant. Good for night owls (quiet; could have gone to pool if not raining; and breakfast almost possible with it running to 11am (if only it could've been noon, but most places stop at 10). Whole place had a nice vibe. Loved everything about it and restaurant is a must do if you stay! I was even upgraded to a cottage which was amazing w a fireplace because of rooms being worked on...at no extra charge. Great place!. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Made us feel at home. Lodge atmosphere was cozy and warm. Cottage was perfect: comfiortable, amenities just what we needed, clean, pretty. Lovely cabin. Very comfortable bed. Enjoyed the pool (they supply towels). We had a lodge room reserved and they had to move us to a cabin as they were overbooked. Worked out fine for us!. Everyone at Crescent Lodge treated my wife and I fantastic. The owner sat and talked with us at breakfast and even cleared our table when we finished eating!. The hotel was extremely clean and kept well. Bed was comfortable, and the staff was very friendly, I would stay there again and would recommend to friends. The rooms were clean and cozy. The staff and food were excellent. My husband and I will enjoyed ourselves so much, we extended our say for another day. Cottages could not have been any cleaner. Staff were are friendly. Relaxing and welcoming staff. Loved cottage;). Room was very clean and well appointed. Clean, friendly, quiet. Location. The grounds were very nice and relaxing. We found very little to complain about. You won't find the latest amenities such as hair dryers and coffeemakers in the room, but I didn't really mind that. Some of the cottages had private jacuzzis, but since we couldn't afford a cottage, I wished there had been a jacuzzi or hot tub available for the use of all the guests. That's the only thing that would have made my stay more enjoyable!. The room I had was tiny and simple but clean. It had everythng you needed for a short stay If I were to stay longer I would choose to stay in one of their cottages .The only complaint I have would be that the towels could use some updating . Not much. Being cheap, I mean frugal, I'd love it if the cottages were less expensive so I could try one. Nothing. By the time we got to Sunday breakfast, the delicious food was cold. Although very clean, it is definitely dated in decor. Seemed to be 50s style but comfortable. Could turn some people off. Our room was right in the main building, and was directly on top of the kitchen. My husband & I came back after shopping atthe Crossings to rest before going to dinner, and we were not able to nap with all of the rattle and banging underneath, otherwise it was good. I did call front desk and they were not able to move us. We didn't like having to leave!. Our toilet did not work from check in. When my wife and I tried to fill the hot tub it just blew out air and dark brown water. Being a contractor neither bothered me. I assumed the cottages were on a septic system and well water. My wife on the other hand wanted out. I thought the whole thing rather comical. Let the staff know at check out and I am 100% sure they had it fixed. That is the attention to detail that they have. Everything smells like old and looks old. They also need to replace the carpet in the rooms; were a lot of stains and the place need a good scrub. The rooms are very outdated needs a big update. Not worth the price paid.
