The location is wonderful. Central to dwtn and malls. Enjoyed the sitting room and two separate sink areas. One sink in the bath and one in the bedroom made getting ready in the morning relaxing:). The beds were made up with snow white sheets and just perfectly made:)) Underground parking felt safe . As a female, traveling alone at times, I look for hotels with interior rooms. these rooms are located on outdoor wings which I loved. Secure but open at the same time. The Lobby is wonderful wit.
alla recensioner » This place had a great breakfast buffet that you could order items cooked fresh. The room was very clean and the pool was a lot of fun. This is a older place and was probably a very high end hotel in its day. Very Clean and secure parking. I really liked this place. We were even given a "Thank You" gift when we checked out. WOW!. Hotel was widespread, open, rooms were comfortable, two YVs so no conflict regarding games and TV programs, etc. Breakfaast was ahassle, we were running around ooking for our ticket, then find out someone else used our room number to eat Cook was somewhat unpleasant about somthing that was not our fault. Very comfortable (Homey). Sitting room and bedroom had TV's. Underground parking. Location close to family. The room size was nice and friendly staff. The hotel was in a good location and breakfast was good!. rooms were clean, comportable, the parking was secure, the breakfasts were good. Really liked the staff and Breakfast service. And that our dog was allowed. We really liked the size of the suites. The staff are all lovely. The pool and hot tub are great! The food was good. The staff was exceptional-- housekeeping, front desk, and food service--were all very friendly professional and helpful. Great security in parking area. Overall the hotel presents well even though it is an older facility. The Barcelona has an old world charm of some of the hotels we have visited in Mexico. The staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious. Morning breakfast was a made to order which was nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The price. The lobby area design and first impression was attractive. size of room location staff parking. The room was clean. Pure Quality! And the breakfast was top notch!. The one face cloth was very worn almost had holes. I did not mind but I know some who would complain. Wish the planters outside the rooms had something besides dirt. But we are in a drought. We had two small children and swimming time was cut short because of a Prom. The dance floor was not in the swimming pool! We were in a room close to the backdrop of the staircase - Rm 268. It was noisy and young couples running back and forth kept us up. But it was a nice visit. We ame to swim and shop. Had we known there was a prom, we woul have stayed elsewhere. We could hear room above us. (spooky in the night). When we got there our room wasn't ready. We waited ten minutes for our key. Then when we got to our room the beds were still messed up from the previous people. The cleaning lady changed the covers and sheets however she didn't change the pillow covers or clean the restroom. Noise early in the morning j(7am). The place could use some updating and remodel. The place is ok for th money, but is definitely past it's prime. kids running at all hours of the night, on the floor above my room. The pool closed tooooo early. The bath tub didnt have an adequate stopper for a hot bath since the pool was closed. The furniture was falling apart--dresser, sofa, bed. No soap stocked in the rooms-- anywhere. No personal use bottles--shampoo conditioner, face soap, lotion, etc. This hotel is badly in need of refurbishing. The irregular water temp in our shower went from cold to very hot sporadically making it a safety hazard. The outdoor pool had deep cracks and did not appear to have been maintained. There was no onsite maintenance to clean up after messy patrons leaving bottles and cans lying around public areas for way too long. It appeared that some guests actually reside at the hotel.. It was an older hotel and needs to be upgraded. The restaurant left something to be desired. Food not very good. This place had a bar in the lobby which would be great if they would let you know and you didn't want to sleep. It was clean and OK, but the noise until 1:30am was terrible. Facility wasn't clean; too many broken tiles throughout; not ADA accessible; food from the grill was greasy. The public areas were not as well maintained as they should be for a nice hotel. Carpet was worn and soiled. Pest control in dining area was a problem - houseflies. Needed more staff to keep tables wiped down. Rooms were badly dated - greatly in need of renovation. dirty spa dirty pool no clean towels cleanliness bar service not enough help, waited 45 minutes for drinks and over a hour for foods Saturday night trying to enjoy football games. Loud disco music when you walk in the front door. No sign to point direction of Reservation desk. No Luggage help or carts. Room a long way from elevators - not good for elderly like my mother.Room was warm took a long time to cool down. found the place was dirty.I chose the place because of the spa and hot tub. The Spa and the Hot tub was out of order. The water in the pool did not look clean. The pool area was filthy. Each day we had to request face towels. Flies were in the dining area.The place needs to have a good cleaning. I will not be back.
