We were nervous about the people density of L.A. and, being walkers, had heard poor reports of the lack of pedestrian-friendly paths and even sidewalks. The hotel location was perfect. It was not only literally surrounded by boats but was right by the coast bike path and close to a number of interesting walks around the largest man-made marina in the world.
