  Awesome stay! Very clean! Everything from the food to the staff and the rooms were perfect. The manager was so helpful as I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with an intimate dinner. He arranged to get me a table cloth, candles, gave us free complimentary drinks, set me up with a flower shop, and helped me with dinner arrangements for our room. The staff (bellh - Hi folks, Check in staff were helpful with questions. Breakfast buffet staff were really helpful and friendly. Struck up conversations with staff that make a personal touch in the restaurant. Asian meal was healthy: rice, seaweed, kimchi, miso soup... Enjoyed a dip in the pool with my kids and a good work out in the gym with weights, universal, and stationary bikes. Free hourly bus to #7 subway line was convenient into city. God bless, Pete Chen

  The hotel was clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff kept us well stocked with fresh towels and plenty of coffee, and they were friendly. The desk staff and the bus boys were knowledgable and extremely helpful and friendly. We had a small issues with our booking through the website : we booked 3, they expected 2 and although a bit stubborn to start they fixed the problem. The gym is ok but the pool hours are too short : 10 to 6pm

  I like the style, frankly the ' class ' that The Carlyle and that the staff exude. I stayed many times at The Carlyle in the 1980's early 90s, indeed had my wedding there in 1998. I haven't been at all since for no negative reason but simply professionally I no longer visit NY, but expect to privately will do periodically going fwd.   The quietness. Like a retreat. Great food. - Staff were courteous and efficient. Checked in early but no rooms were available, they said they would call me when I could go to the room. They did. The room I got I didn't like (close to elevator door and TV not straight in from of bed). They upgraded me to quieter corner room.

  very fun place, safe, cool people!!! not far from the subway - Pretty place and very sociable. We had free drinks and BBQ on the roof the night I stayed. Nice mix of people, mostly young.
