  The hotel was very clean and the courtyard was beautiful. The restaurant associated with the hotel offered a great breakfast. Lunch and dinner menus were extremely good as was the beer and staff.   I just spent a week at SPA Hotel Maristella (Oct. 11-18). This hotel is very close to the beach so the location is ideal for warm and swimming weather. It was already too cold for that, so I spent most of my free time taking taxis to the city. That's about 20 minutes away and about $10 each way.   The hotel is old, but very beautiful. The staff, depending on who was working, ranged from very good to merely adequate. I liked the 24/7 hotel bar quite a bit. - Excellent staff, impressive interior, exceptional location. Proximity to the main historical sites, opera, restaurants.

  I enjoyed my stay and found it easy to get on with the staff who on the whole were very helpful.My Russian language is shocking but the staff helped with my needs - Really nice and supportive stuff. Nice view from the window (I had a room in the 10th floor and saw all the city and as well the see).
