The staff were very freindly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable.
Good location on the edge of the city and within easy walking distance
of the shops, pubs, restaurants and other attractions. We only had
breakfast here but it was very good. I would certainly recommend this
hotel to anyone wanting to spend a short break in Winchester.
Helen was simply amazing. A very small hotel with friendly staff. Even though no lift, we got help with our heavy suitcases. Food was nice. The room was really good. Walking distance to the shops. A shame I didn't get the name of the other manager or other members of staff on duty cos they were all really nice.alla recensioner »
The room was beautiful and comfortable, with all of the facilities that you would expect.
The staff were polite and very friendly - they were able to arrange an early morning taxi for me.
I didn't eat downstairs but from what I saw of the menu etc., it looked like a lovely restaurant and bar.
Modern, smartly decorated room. Nice bar with live entertainment and good food available in restaurant . Friendly and courteous staff. Great location.
The staff made our stay most enjoyable, very friendly and helpful. This combined with the room and eating facilities which were first class.
The staff were extremely helpful, the food was lovely and the room, although one of their 'cosy' rooms so it was small, was great.
Toiletries, large room, comfortable bed, cafetiere and proper coffee in
the room, seating space. Excellent restaurant and bar.
Friendly and helpful staff, big airy room, brilliant shower, perfect location, very close to public car park, would go again.
Location great for access to attractions and restaurants. Staff are fantastic friendly and helpfull. Comfortable rooms.

nice clean room
good food.
Good pub and restaurant. Fantastic service.
Clean.
The empty bottles from the hotel and the pizza house next door were
collected at about 5am and the noise as they were tipped into the
collection vehicle defied belief as we were only about 30 feet from this
activity. It will wake you up for sure. Only a fixed shower whereas
douche type showers are much more hygienic and I feel, should be fitted
as standard.
Nothing was said on letsbookhotel.com that rooms are right on top of the pub/club so a bit noisy especially on Friday night with a life band till around 11pm. But it wasn't too loud. A plus though if you want to have fun on Friday night so you just go upstairs right afterwards.
Nothing to criticise, would definitely stay here again.
No air con. Road noise necessitates using secondary double glazing. Free standing fan available but not ideal.
The only down side was the live music played on a friday and saturday, which was quite loud.
Having to hunt around for the back door in the dark when returning after
the front door was closed and lengthy check-out involving several trips
up and downstairs.
Expensive wine. traffic noise but double glazing helped.
Friday and Saturday night band could disturb sleep even though ear plugs are supplied. Could be a real plus for the younger set though. It didn't detract from what was a great overall experience though for us.
noise from road as our room was on the main road(we knew when booking it was on a busy road) this would not stop us booking again.
Mattress was a bit lumpy probably needs turning or changing.
04:00 in the morning the garbage van picked up the empty bottles.
Nothing.
Very close to main road and mu husband didn't sleep very well due to the noise. But that is not the fault of the hotel.
Stayed on a Friday night in Room 3, and found that it was very loud up until about 1am from the noise in the restaurant / bar downstairs. Even after the live singer finished at 11pm the music continued on thumping until about 1am. (i.e Avoid this venue if you want a quite nights sleep on a Friday night).
Nov on site parking.
Noisy music from the bar
Didn't include breakfast.
music till 1am.
The hotel cancelled my booking by mistake, so they had no room available
for me when I arrived after work at 6pm. However they were very
apologetic and prepared a room within 1 hour, offered me a corporate
rate & free breakfast.
wifi advertised as available in every room, signal very poor and kept dropping out.
Extremely noisey in the morning at 5:30 with refuse lorries emptying bottles, this really did put me off staying again.
Very noisy rooms single glazed windows facing the road. woken up at 5 am by bottle collection from the pub so no sleep.
Rooms are very noisy being directly above a bar/restaurant. Check in
was very awkward on a Saturday night with suitcases waiting for my turn
at the bar. Throwing empty bottles out into waste in early hours woke
all the residents- you are a hotel-PLEASE be aware of that!.
