Best clean and homely environment while retaining the willingness of the building. We were made very welcome upon arrival and found everybody concerned to be friendly, cheerful and excellent hosts. Breakfast was delicious with full English and the addition of details, fruit and yoghurt. The service was great with offers of more tea and toast. Only spent one day and night but felt very comfortable and valued as a guest.
alla recensioner » The position is just a short canal side walk to the city centre, so is great. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and they have onsite parking. It is positioned on the corner of a busy road so entry and exit can be tricky. My room was on the front looking over the road, so there was traffic noise which tapered off into the evening. Despite that I slept soundly. I would certainly stay there again. Very nice welcome to both ourselves and to our dog. We stayed in room 14 in the annex, which was as we expected from the website; nice and comfy with a very good bed. The heating was just right and it was a very cold day. The girls were very busy at breakfast but just managed it all very well! Great to have a park over the road for dog walkies!. The staff was great. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. There was free wifi provided in the room, the bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. In the morning before checkout we had a full English breakfast cooked to order. The lodge is conveniently located near the Salisbury train station. I highly recommend it. Very warm welcome upon arrival and friendly staff at breakfast. Easy walk along the river in to Salisbury, only about 10 minutes. Decor a bit tired and rooms could do with deep clean (dusty skirting, little bit of mould in the shower) however basic cleanliness was good. Little things niggled like lip stick on my tea cup and lack of shelf for toiletries but not so much I felt the need to complain. The friendliness outweighed the niggles I had. My only problem was the shower head did not work properly!!. No thing really was a decent experiance. Initially I didn't like the fact it was on a busy crossroads, but it actually made it easy to find and my room was surprisingly quiet even with the window open. Bathroom very small. Decor a little aged but for the price nothing to complain about. nothing to dislike. Room was abit small. No issues to mention. It could have been warmer, but we were experiencing severe cold. Nothing. Very noisy street (a lot of traffic until late in the evening). Nothing. Internet access was poor in our room. Nothing. Temprature of the room was very poor (cold). Bed uncomfortable. Slightly tired appearance, but not a huge negative.
