Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the excellent food, the room was really well set out with good facilities, it was quiet at night and had plenty of parking space. It was a good location for me. The manager actually drove us to a restaurant and around Ormskirk. I've never had that kind of service.Staff were very helpful, hotel was clean and tidy and welcoming.

Good breakfast, helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast. Comfortable bed.This cannot be called a hotel. It might be a karaoke pub. For the purposes of my visit,. i liked nothing -. Not a lot apart from convenience of location for purpose of visit. They seemed short staffed at night. Breakfast could have been included in the price, however, breakfast was very nice. street near by was a little noisy. Little water pressure from shower, I had to run around to get wet!. No restaurant for evening meal so had to go outside hotel. Lack of restaurant facilties. The bed room requires decorating. Only one bedside lamp and table. The internet would not work in the bedroom. The Disabled bathroom meant my husband had to sit on a chair to shave, the water was so hot in the shower we needed to use the bath. The wardrobe had pieces broken on it.Too far from nearest town and restaurant not open until evening.Had the potential to be a lovely hotel but management need to pay more attention to detail e.g.broken drawer in locker, knob missing from wardrobe door, plugtop damaged etc. hotel room dirty and dated eg wardrobe doors hanging off,empt loo rolls in bathroom, bin in bathroom full. There was a lack of staff available. Card machine had broken and we were asked to leave our card details on a piece of paper. Not very secure. Poor state of decoration; bathroom tiles missing, door would not close, lock missing, bath panel trim missing; unable to turn heated towel rail off completely; both overhead lights in room not working; 3 out of 4 wardrobe door handles missing; layer of dust on all but low level flat surfaces.I went to this hotel with the family. We were tired. It was not possible to sleep though it got into bed because it was too annoying. The karaoke party was done in the floor below. It complained about the reception desk. However, it was told that the party continued until one o'clock. We checked it out getting angry at midnight. It was the worst hotel. No restaurant service, and understaffed - receptionist having to double up as barmaid, for example.We felt ripped off, we had to pay £140 as against normal price£55.Because of the open! Plus breakfast was extra. Wardobe door was off. the price of £80 was way over the top, the tv was not connected to the aerial because somebody had stolen it and the shower was a pathetic trickle!. Room not serviced @ 5pm after day out only hand towels left after requesting clean towels.Hotel very tired needs refurbishment creaking floorboards throughout building, noisy heating, wallpaper peeling from walls everywhere.furniture, curtains etc. worn and dirty.Some electric sockets not working.WiFi intermitent at best. poor gulity beds in rooms lackof reception staff when needed. Noisy, no soap in two dispensers, shabby interior to room, room sited near to external door, view-brick wall, menu very limited and unimaginative.
