Set amid the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds in the village of Walesby, The Old Stables is a 150 year-old barn conversion. There is free on-site parking and free Wi-F available at this property. Walesby, situated on the historic Viking Way is ideal for rambling, and many walks can start from the hotel. Fishing can be enjoyed at Otby Lakes, which is within 5 minutes by car. Market Rasen Racecourse is within 3 miles, as is the beautiful 18-hole Market Rasen Golf Club. Located on ground level, each self-catering cottage comes with a fully-equipped kitchen which includes a cooker, a microwave and a dishwasher. The cottage also includes access to shared washing machine facilities. The living/dinning area come with a wall-mounted flat screen TV. The bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and a heated towel radiator. Each cottage is individually furnished and there is a private patio area with outdoor seating. A range of pubs and restaurants can be found within a 3-mile radius offering a varied choice of menus and prices. The picturesque hilly landscape surrounding The Old Stables is an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Many quaint market towns can be found within a 20-mile radius of the hotel. The city of Lincoln is less than 20 miles away and the Lincolnshire coastline is just 30 miles away.

hospitality was excellent and also greeted on arrival. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. Very relaxed and a clean, well planned room, with excellent large double bed. Bathroom is modern with brilliant power shower. For evening dinner, we were recommended the Kings Head at Tealby which turned out to be a lovely meal in a quite village, so the owners turned out to be very helpful indeed. We only stayed one night, but wish it had been longer, we would certainly stay again. It was nice to.
alla recensioner » Fantastic Location for our visit to Market Rasen Races. Superb room/ shower/wet room was great after a busy and hot day. Tranquil setting overlooking garden. Amanda and Peter are the most delightful hosts, a very warm welcome and comfortable stay. Breakfast was great, as is the room it is served in, nothing is too much trouble, we wish all the places we stayed were as good as this...it would take out a lot of anxiety when booking a trip. We really loved staying here and would highly recommend t. Amanda and Peter excelled in the welcome and attention they paid to us. The bedroom was warm and well provided for, including tea making facilities. A VERY comfortable bed with good quality bed linen. The breakfast was superb, freshly cooked to order. Nice country location and well placed for walking and exploring the coast or Lincoln. If 7 stars were possible the OLD STABLES deserves it. I know the area and you won't find better!. Lovely countryside setting with access to outside straight from the room. Comfortable and very clean room with extra large double with fresh quality bedding. Modern clean shower room with walkin shower and soft white towels on heated towel rail. Breakfast was available at whatever time requested and was perfectly cooked. The owners went out of their way to make sure your stay is relaxed and comfortable. Good location for the race course, just 10 minutes by taxi. The owners recommended a local business which was very punctual (07732810040). The rooms are small but modern, cosy and clean and the bathroom was also very modern and spacious. Breakfast was fantastic. Choice of fruit, yogurts and cereal followed by a great quality English breakfast. We will be back!. The service is fantastic, you are truly made welcome; this is a place where the customer comes first. As for location, it is completely off the beaten track and as complete an escape from the rat race as you are likely to get. The Old Stables is the definition of relaxation and peace, it has my absolute recommendation and I look forward to returning. Friendly & warm welcome upon arrival and nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. Breakfast was fab, piping hot and everything you could wish for from a simple slice of toast to fresh fruit and a full English breakfast. I cannot recommend this wonderful b&b enough. If you have to visit east Lincolnshire, then this is where you should stay. The owner could not do enough to help and the facilities are great. We didn't stay long enough to find anything we disliked, here it was all positive, lovely room, very clean, TV, coffee, large cosy double bed and to end it!!! a lovely cooked breakfast. Nothing. Check in time is 1600 hours however we were able to drop are belongings off in the room even though it wasn't ready when we arrived early at 1230. My stay coming to an end. Was a little bit 'out in the sticks'. No hairdryer in room. Wish the WiFi worked in the rooms (those 2 foot thick walls come with a penalty) but the main room (where it does work) is open as late as you want. Walesby is so small that the nearest pub is about 1.5 miles away. If you want to sleep late, bring eyeshades (sunlight) and earplugs (tractors). Not much to complain about, except wild life can be a bit noisy if you are not used to it!. Nothing of any note. Nothing to dislike. Nothing. Shower flooded across bathroom floor. nothing. The turbo powered pigeon trying to take off in the roof i.e. extractor fan. Tip, don't use the bathroom light in middle of the night as the pigeon is on a timer! owner Amanda & husband are aware & are looking to rectify this niggle. Not one thing, we will stop there again next spring. Nothing! The b&b was one of the few things about the area that wasn't a disappointment!. Nothing to dislike. Very Small Issues - A lack of hooks in the bathroom on the back of the door for a robe or towel. Also a bin with a liner & clock would be good in the communial room. Lack of a local village pub, but there's one in the next village about 1.5 miles away. Nothing to dislike. Everything was fine. Nothing. nothing. No shelves or hooks in the bathroom. Nothing at all. Wifi is only available in main breakfast area and NOT in the bedrooms. Hard to find at night, as not allowed a sign. When booking it stated wi fi but sadly this was not possible in the bedrooms, which as a businessman meant any internet work had to be carried out in the community room. Also when the bathroom light was on there was a continuous buzzing coming from the loft space in the bedroom. Wi fi was a bit touch and go in the bedroom but was 100% perfect in the lobby / breakfast room.
