We liked everything. The cooked breakfast was one of the best we had ever had - cooked when ordered. The staff really friendly and helpful. the accommodation was lovely. We had a 6ft bed!. Even the toilet roll was the softest I have had. It was just the little things that made the whole experience great. We are staying there again in July. Ever in Loughborough stay here. Easy to get to and a short walk from the town centre albeit on a quite busy road (which didn't matter much as the room was soundproof enough and there was no disturbance). Well equipped and has everything you could expect to find in a B&B. Room was spotless clean and so was the bathroom. Good service at breakfast - quick and effective. Decent choice on the menu.
alla recensioner » I was very impressed with this guest house. I received a warm welcome when I arrived; the bedroom was just right for me, and the bed was immaculate. I was very comfortable, and had a delicious breakfast - fruit followed by fried egg, bacon and tomato (from a bigger menu), together with toast and marmalade. Everything. Irene and Cosmo were wonderful hosts and the house was charming and clean. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and I felt I received true value for what I spent. I came in a guest and left as a friend. I would recommend this B&B to anyone traveling in England. I thought this was an excellent budget hotel, clean welcoming and comfortable. Very nice double room with a large bathroom, much better than I was expecting for this price. Lovely well cooked full English breakfast with friendly service. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The guesthouse had the quaint feel and location (to town centre) was convenient. We travelled to see/feel a bit of England (we are Australian). Highbury house satisfied our wants. Would stay there again if we ever travelled to the Area. The room was spotless. Plenty of tea bags were provided. The landlady was very pleasant. The service was efficient. It was the summer holidays so no students were around. The room felt rather cramped, though it was a twin, and I was on my own, due to its L-shape. The bathroom took out a chunk of the space. The above- bed lighting was directed at the ceiling, not downwards, and the light for reading was not bright enough. Shower situation needs sorting. Nothing. Wi-fi is ok but internet signal kept dropping out. Hardly worth mentioning but as a big tea drinker more milk would have been nice. As it was v cold for late April the room was a little chilly. The room was a little cool, but would not put us off stayin here again. Nothing. It is on a relatively busy road, so if you have to keep the window open on warm summer nights it can be noisy. Nothing to dislike, we only stayed for one night but would return in the future if visiting the area. Smell of damp in our bathroom. TV was a little small. Bar never seemed to be open, we went to a nearby pub instead. Not any really Just that room was a bit brighter till very late due to summer Curtains could be a bit thicker. nothing. Can't identify anything. Walls are very thin and you can hear conversations, TV etc in the next door room. Showers are rather feeble but still adequate. Maybe the room was a little on the small side and the price a little high. No bad points. Daughter & boyfriend stayed in another room (8) and even though paid same price this was quite small. Nothing. No issues. Noise coming from guests next door. - Mattress was a bit lumpy - Shower was a bit weak (but this seems a problem with all English showers I've encountered). nothing all great. Nothing to fault. N/a. Sausages at breakfast.
