Judy is fabulous. Very warm, generous and welcoming. The room was small but perfectly formed with lovely aspect from the window. Amazing breakfast. A big plus also was the parking ticket of a favourable kind which meant we could park easily close by. The Welford is an easy stroll into the town centre and also the conference centre. A definite place to return to.
The Welford is a small hotel that feels a bit like a B&B. The owner is very helpful and friendly without being pushy. We had a room on the street side of the first floor, with a very good bed. This was an excellent hotel ideally situated for visiting all the sites, we had a very warm welcome( including our well behaved greyhound) and a superb breakfast was offered which would cater for everyone, the facilities were clean and modern and more than adequate. We would definetly recommend it and would like to visit again.
The Welford was the perfect place to stay. The staff were really friendly, rooms were comfortable and very clean, breakfast was delicious. Location couldn't have been better; the conference centre was just 'round the corner' and the centre of town for shopping was a very easy 5 minute walk. Will definitely stay again.
Judy is an excellent host with a wealth of local knowledge that really enhanced our stay. The accommodation is excellent and only a couple of minutes walk from the town centre. Breakfast was plentiful and the choice superb. Overall this is a great place to stay. We will definitely be returning.
Perfectly located for the International Halls exhibition centre down a quiet road. Lovely lounge in which to relax. The breakfast was excellent and served in a pleasant dining room, the service was first class. The owners are genuinely nice people and I would not hesitate to go there again!!.
The staff were very friendly and the Welford had a welcoming and warm feel to it. It's a lovely building, comfortable and clean throughout. Breakfast was excellent with good range for vegetarians too. Close to centre of Harrogate and local amenities, this is an excellent place to stay.
This is not just a hotel, it works as a second home. The most friendly and welcoming hosts ever. Fantastic breakfast. If you´re visting Royal Hall, The Welford is just 5 min away.
If I ever return to Harrogate is my first chioce, as long as Judy and Richard is running The Welford.
Despite the weather, we enjoyed our stay. The welcome, restaurant advice and parking (with daily permit) were gratefully accepted. The breakfast was ample and very nicely cooked. The proximity to the town centre is another good feature. We spent 2very enjoyable days here.
The owners were very friendly. Room lovely and clean. The breakfast was wonderful, fresh fruit including blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and pineapple. The cooked breakfast was served very hot. Lovely accommodation, staff welcoming, spotless and clean.

All good. very popular so we were unable to book an extra night at short notice, although this was entirley our own fault, however we are now aware and would book well in advance next time.
There was nothing I didn't like. My only small criticism was the shower in our ensuite bathroom was not at all strong.
