At the bottom of the garden there is a footpath to Exmouth’s beach, which can be reached in 2 minutes on foot. Each room at The Barn is traditional in style, and has a TV for guests to enjoy. Rooms also feature facilities for making tea and coffee, a seating area and a work desk. A full English breakfast is available each morning, and a range of beverages are served at the bar. Guests can enjoy a drink in the lounge, or on the terrace with its far-reaching ocean views. The centre of Exmouth is a mile from The Barn, and guests can reach a cinema and a range of restaurants in 5 minutes’ drive.

Staff were super. We felt genuinely welcomed and there were lots of little touches that contributed to this: extra biscuits for the room when we asked, a jug of fresh milk volunteered, and, most strikingly, the use of the lounge on our departure morning. Unlike many places, we did not feel at all rushed out, and in fact were encouraged to stay by the provision of (complementary) pots of tea and coffee. We couldn't even pay for a can of soft drink that our nine year old daughter took. It felt.
alla recensioner » Wonderful building,probably Art Nouveau rather than Arts and Craft. Away from the noise of the modern world. Helpful proprietors and the waiter was a treasure - full of local knowledge and very efficient. One is transported back to pre-WW1 in this glorious building. Grounds are superb as well, so typical of this beautiful East Devon coast. Just look at the trees from your window. Views of Lyme Bay will stun you. Breakfasts well cooked and satisfied my Desperate Dan appetite. A great experience. Guest that stayed informed me that this was a fantastic experience and the reception upgraded the guest to a superior room overlooking the sea. The guest had a brilliant stay and the hotel met every expectation plus more. We will be booking again most certainly. The welcome. Being made to feel you were not just a paying guest. The freedom to roam around the hotel and grounds. The peacefulness of the hotel and grounds. Staff never too busy to stop and chat. The unique design of the hotel, not like a barn at all. The Hotel was charming to look at and once inside the welcome was brilliant. The lounge was brilliantly comfortable and the bonus was overlooking the sea. The breakfast was good and the overall feel was friendly and caring. The quite relaxing location, and the friendly caring staff and management. We elected to stay at The Barn while visiting family in Exmouth, and would like to book room eleven on our next vist Oh yes we will be back. The staff was wonderful, and when we had internet trouble, was very gracious about letting us use theirs. The room the 2nd night was gorgeous, looking over both the gardens and the ocean. This was a lovely old house with views over exmouth beach which was only a step away so the location was great. the accomodation was confortable and breakfast was very good. We are now just up the hill!. nothing. The windows needed cleaning. Steep stairs if on the top floor. Could hear the water pipes. The breakfast was pretty ordinary. Not a huge selection - but it's your typical English breakfast. The biggest problem for me was the size of the bed. Anyone over 1.80m (6'0") and sharing the bed will find himself cramped. Because the bed had an endboard, I couldn't let my feet dangle and that bothered my sleep. nothing. Nothing. Nothing, it was perfect, thankyou. Nothing. Very small TV a long way away from the bed!. The lack of a shower with a shower screen. waiting to get in due to booking not going through to them not their fault. The bed was two singles pushd together, making it uncomfortable with a gap in the centre. The breakfast time was 8-9, we felt this was rushed & would have liked a holiday lay in!. A bit chilly in some rooms and some rooms are looking a little tired. No evening dining within the hotel. Nothing. Only 1hour window for breakfast on a Sunday morning which meant it got very busy. beds bit creaky but comfortable. Wallpaper peeling off the wall in our room. Light bulbs needed dusting. Only one of the five bulbs in the chandelier worked. Maintenance required on the fan in the bathroom, very noisy. Outdoor pool wasn't up and ready for my daughter to swim. Bathroom needs updating and the extractor fan was poorly maintained. There was nothing not to like. The bed was so uncomfortable that I slept on the sofa!. nothing. easter weather. Could not stay longer!. noisy fire doors either side of my room. Nothing to put toiletries on in the bathroom. Nothing.
