The hotel is absolutely marvelous

I had no trouble locating the car park around the back but although I was made to believe I'd paid for 24hours, about £5 more was required when I left, having parked for only 20hours. Hotel staff told me I wouldn't need to pay, so it was a little embarrassing to have to turn back to pay at the exit. It wasn't too big a deal

everything was first class ,cleanliness being the most important to us , was of a very high standard.the décor was modern and classy, and would recommend this hotel.

Its was very glassy. (ha ha) its rooms nice and spacious. And the location very nice.

Not much. A little bit noisy in the front. Otherwise very nice views.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were very modern and decor was lovely. All round great stay!

Overnight stay was a gift, would have found it a little too pricey had I been booking myself.

Great location, especially if you're off to the Playhouse next door. Balconies are an excellent and unusual addition to the rooms. Our double was compact but well designed making the most of the space available. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.

I thought the hotel portrayed a proffessional and exclusive image from top to bottom. I particularly liked the large roof garden - it was superbm. It would be easy to believe that you were in a rural location and not a city center.

Despite the fact that the hotel had a restaurant, evening meals were only available as room service which I found odd. The hotel did reccomend some local restaurants and the Italian one we went to was fantastic.

On my first night in the hotel at 3:30 AM the fire alarm was ringing and we run out of room , 5 min's later the reception said we are sorry but some one come from out said and he broke the alarm and he run !! and they said sorry and have a good night !!!? i disappointed

Fantastic Place. The Balconies, Roof Garden

The whole experience from arrival to departure. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the facilities were second to none.

The hotel is modern and in the city centre (close to the Calton hill). It has an fantastic large roof garden to relex after a tour through the city! Access is possible from each room! Breakfast is excellent!

There is no direct parking at the hotel but a parking house in the visinity. On arrival a deposit of £200.- was requested!

The room was well fitted with everything needed. Comfortable and able to own window for fresh air a plus. Roof terrace very appealing

Air con seemed to be set at 25C which was extremely uncomfortable. It was adjusted but took time to drop to a reasonable 22. Very long corridors so quite a hike to get to room.

From the moment we got there we had a warm welcome from William - we were early but registered and left our bags so could go and do some shopping. We had a beautiful suite - the balcony was amazing. The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Leaving - will definitely be back.

The roof garden is an amazing place to sit out in the middle of a busy city centre.

Building work is still in progress, but should be finished soon.

We loved the bed! We loved the location between Playhouse, Omni and John Lewis especially as raining heavily all day. Breakfast room was lovely and so was breakfast.

It was under renovation. Bar was under construction and modesty bar in middle of corridor.

Loved the rooms although would have liked one of the recently refurbished ones. Staff were friendly breakfast was great. Location is fantastic very close to station.

The staff were absolutely outstanding; nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome. The Glasshouse is just fantastic.

We loved it all and will definitely return!

I liked the beautifully comfortable room and bed, the best nights sleep I've ever had. Its hard to believe its in a busy area of Edinburugh as the room and terrace balcony is so peaceful and quiet..

I didn't like the £50 taken from my credit card when I checked in, as I still haven't received my refund and I checked out 3 days ago.

Staff knocking on door when the do not disturb sign was up just to hand us the newspaper! It is being refurbished and this room was tired and needed it.

Room clean and lovely furnishings with a cosy touch...bed so comphy with big goose filled pillows and duvey, huge lovely fluffy towels a complete luxury touch, enjoyed complimentary highland aromatic products..room nice and warm too. Friendly helpful staff.

No facilities, as it was a special occasion we were really disapointed the honesty bar was closed for refurbishment & no restuarant in the hotel at present. Continental breakfast was ok, tea was a bit cold, but no big deal.

The breakfast room was not in keeping with hotel - we only had breakfast once as it was very cold - my husband had to send his breakfast back as he didn't feel it was cooked enough.

all aspects of the hotel suited our needs for a city break. very clean and the most freindly staff we have come across.

Outstanding customer service; comfortable room; wonderful food; beautiful views.

Considering most aspects of the stay were outstanding, there were a few small areas that let them down: old-fashioned TVs with with very few channels (no Freeview); room temperature monitor was clunky and difficult to use; artwork in rooms dated, and skirting in the halls needs and some decor to be redone.

Only one type of single malt on honesty bar - even though they have suites named after whisky'S. Elements beginning to look tired/marked/stained Breakfast a little expensive for what you got, but was very tasty

The staff were very polite and informative. The hotel is petite and cosy. The rooms are amazing with some great touches and are great to relax in if travelling on business or leisure. The location is brilliant. It is central but not right in the middle of things and a great location for getting about and seeing Edinburgh.

I enjoyed the space of the room, the comfort of the bed and the beautiful glass bbathroom. The service was brilliant and the breakfast fabulous. I would definitely stay again. All amenities and activities were very close by and within minutees walking distance. Loved it!

The decor was a bid jaded and I couldn't get on to the Internet. It said I was connected but then when I tried to go to Facebook or Google, it said no connection try again. I gave up after a half hour.
