Overlooking the North Sea, The Seahaven Hotel is 60 metres from Edinburgh’s Portobello beach. The Seahaven serves hearty Scottish breakfasts and has cosy rooms with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Rooms in this recently refurbished hotel feature shower rooms with hairdryers. Bedrooms also have alarm clocks, DVD players and tea/coffee making facilities. The Seahaven serves meals throughout the day and has a fully licensed public bar. The bar has a projector screens and 2 TVs which show live sporting events. The nearby bus stop has regular services to Edinburgh city centre, which take 15 minutes. Brunstane Rail Station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Musselburgh Racecourse is just a 5-minute drive away.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Seahaven hotel. Staff was a great example of Scottish hospitality. Breakfast was cooked individually, room was very clean, with en-suite toilet and a shower. Design of the room was very efficient, I had everything I needed. And, again, very clean and welcoming. My window had a direct view on the beach and water and the hotel was placed 1 minute walk away from it. There was a direct 24h bus to the centre (26) and the area was very safe. Downstairs there was a trad.
alla recensioner » it was lovely, very freindly, and home from home, we had a lovely time, and will be back again and again, fantastic location, and walks on the beach, loved it at this time off the year, the hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpfull, thankyou to the staff at the hotel for making our weekend fantastic,. The bed was broken but all else was fine. Ann who is the there to greet one for breakfast is the main assett. Always smiling and helpful she will cook whatt you like. She even came in early on the weekend. Only contact excellent represenative. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast were great and after reviewing the many B+Bs we stayed in over the next 3 weeks, Seahaven was on our list of favourites. A big thank you to them all. This hotel is very clean, nicely decorated throughout and the staff are excellent, especially Dawn and Anne (who makes a delicious brekkie, and spoilt my husband an I wrotten). I enjoyed my stay a lot. sea coast is just over the road and also take-away restaurant. I´ll come back soon :) fantastic price per night, close to center tasty breakfast. Very nice staff, cozy room, picturasque area, fantastic veiw from the window. It's a bit far from the center, but not a problem as the bus stop is just nearby. the staff are helpfull and the regulars of the hotel make you feel part of the hotel experience.it is a good place to base yourself for shopping in edinburgh. I liked the informal but very helpful way of the staff & the cosy atmosphere. I enjoyed my short stay at Sea Haven & the breakfast was delicious!. The staff was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast too. The hotel was right facing the beach and was easily connected to city centre by bus 26. There is a night club on the 1st floor, but entrance for people under 25. Only nit picking really but the pillows are really flat and uncomfortable. We told the manager of this and she was really apologetic. music from bar little bit loud in the night but street was quite calm even hotel is next to the main road. My only beef was the main lightbulb in the room needed replacing,( which I told the staff about) but there was a bedside lamp,which I used. A short queueing to the bathroom in the morning around 8h30. Reseption is in the bar and its not easy to find it. A bit of a bus ride to/from train and attractions, but it was fairly easy to get around on the bus (once you know the routes). No one to check me out and no breakfast on last day. The room was very small, especially as we had dogs with us. The noise from the music below on the Saturday night was loud. Nothing - it was perfect for what we were doing. the bar area was very drab and seedy unfortunately this was also where breakfast was served. Live music played until midnight VERY loud. The cold weather. Wasn't any better back home. Nothing. lack of choice/variety for breakfast. thr some noise from pub til night. Shower not very hot. Shower was not so great,and had to be tuned in. Internet was a little weak upstairs. Nothing. the stairs. nothing. Narrow staircase. Nothing. The room was a bit cramped, but as an American, I'm used to things being about 15 percent larger. Not a big problem; I've been a Scottish resident in the past. Small room and bathroom, not great location for nearby shops & bars. I was hoping for a nicer location, but probably the bad weather is to blame too. There was a disco downstairs and since it was friday night there was a bit loud, but ended by 11.30pm. Check in times had changed between the time of booking and stay. I was not informed and arrived when the bar (where check in takes place) was closed. limited breakfast choice. room small, no chair to sit on, no bedside light, so could not read my book as the only light was a low watt cieling light. Too noisy at night, there is a pub downstairs and there is no way to sleep until they close.
