We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here in November. l am disabled this was taken into consideration & we were given a room on the ground floor. We have booked to go back in July next year. The bed for once was really comfortable Not hard like a lot of places, there was plenty of hot water, & the room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was cooked to order & was really tasty, there was also cereals as well as coffee. We didn't find anything to dislike about this hotel. alla recensioner »
The staff were very friendly and helpful. It had a great relaxed atmosphere.
The room was small, however it had everything we needed. The en-suite was surprisingly roomy.
We could open windows, which is something we like to be able to do. In many hotels it's impossible.
The bed was wonderful! We slept more restfully than we had in months.
We we definitely stay at the Carisbrooke again and we will recommend it to friends.
The hotel didn't look amazing from outside, but then it turned to be
a real surprise. Staff (especially a turkish girl called Bucket)
delivered a 5-star service at all times, breakfast was good and the room
clean. Bathroom better than the bedroom as recently refurbished. Free
carpark and wifi. Would definitly reccomend this establishment to anyone
who wanted to visit Bournemouth.
Staff were friendly and helpful. On site bar most welcome! Considering what we paid, breakfast was very good and the room (room 14) big, quiet, and with what looked like a brand-new bathroom. We were lucky to get a parking space outside, which helped. Staff recommended the nearest Indian restaurant and gave us a 10% off voucher - it was excellent.

Nice & large twin room with kingsize & single beds. Spotlessly clean bath/shower room. Tea & coffee making facilities. Freeview TV + DVD + WiFi. Full English Breakfasts were brilliant, you even get offered extra bacon &or sausage if you prefer them to beans,tomato,egg or hash brown.
The staff were very friendly. Room was clean and tidy with a very good bathroom and shower. Nice cooked breakfast. Location was very good for access to beach, shops and restaurants. All within 10 minute walk or less. On site parking and if Carisbrooke car park was full, you could park at sister hotel across the road.
the staff were very friendly and told us everything we needed to know about the surrounding area and attractions. the room was lovely and clean and the beds were comfy. there was also a tv and a cooked breakfast was included in the price, i would definately stay again and i feel the value for money was fantastic!.

The owner and all the staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was large and the bathroom has obviously recently been refurbished. Our room was cleaned beautifully, daily.
I loved the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the hotel. The staffs were courteous and friendly with the kids and they were very helpful too.The hotel was also located very close to the beach and town centre.

The bedrooms were a good size, beds clean and comfortable, Nice clean bathrooms with good showers, Good choice of breakfast but most of all the staff were excellent friendly polite and helpful at all times.

Our friends' room (12A) was much smaller than ours. Parking might be a problem if you aren't lucky enough to bag one outside the hotel.

But not really a problem as where else in Bournemouth could you safely park off road for FREE!.
We stopped for two nights. First night was quiet, but the second night there were more people in the hotel and this is when we noticed, as in previous comments, how thin the walls of the rooms are. People only talking, but at 2-3 am it doesn't do much for a good nights sleep. Such a pity.
do not be fooled by the slightly tired interior of the front reception, as the rooms are fantasticly clean and nice.
the only slight thing i would say is take your own shampoo and conditioner if you need it as the en suite only has hand soap.
There was not anything that we were unhappy with.
Some painting required,the front door,stairwell and outside on the eves.The bar could do with a theme to make it more welcoming.

Just one 'minor' thing:- the hospitality was so good and the room so clean generally, but it was let down by the stained carpet.
I didnt like the fact that the rooms were cold overnight and I had little kids with me. They also did not hoover the room at all during our stay.

The Parking spaces were really narrow and there was limited parking.
Plumbing needs a bit of attention. Wash basin outlet blocked and valve
in toilet faulty but no great problem. In fairness the Receptionist did
offer to see to the wash basin straight away.

served only from 8.30. As the city centre with a choice of cafés and
supermarkets is within easy walking distance, that shouldn't be much
of a hassle, though.
Parking is limited but staff always found a way to accommodate us.Did not like the first room allocated but changed to a better one next day.If i was still not happy i could have had a refund to find somewhere else.You cannot fault that can you?.

decor a little dated and the bathroom is in need of an update, bar not very well stocked (flat tonic water) and only bottled larger.
The only minor point was that I prefer to have new towels daily, and they weren't changed while we were there.
When we arrived we found it difficult to locate the hotel upon ringing the staff member who answered was unable to give us clear directions which was frustrating.
It was quite hot in the room - hot evening and with 4 in one room and no air con or wide opening window did get stuffy!.
Waitresses who served breakfast had very long hair and it wasnt tied
back, had a long dark hair in my breakfast so didnt eat it just had
coffee, juice that was served was cheap tropical, might want to serve
orange juice to guests.
Although the hotel is on a busy street, the evening noise was far less. You will need to be careful when pulling into the traffic lanes of the busy street during rush hours.
