The hotel has a great location just a couple minutes away from the
bus/train station. The hotel offers beautifully decorated and
comfortable rooms in agreat lication at a good price. The bar is quite
charming and the night staff was really helpful and friendly. The
breakfast selection was limited but tasty. The room seemed to have been
recently remodeled and the bathroom/toiletries were great. alla recensioner »
The accommodations were modern and stylish. While the rooms are small,
they are comfortable and have everything you need - including hairdryers
- which are important for foreign travelers. While there is no air
conditioning that we saw - they supply a large and effective fan. Street
noise could be a bit loud, but the location is just a skip and a jump
from the Roman Baths, Spas and shopping..
I just had a wonderful three day stay here with my elderly mother. the staff were lovely and so attentive to our needs. We had a quiet room at the back of the hotel with only a few steps for her to climb and very comfortable large single beds and a walk in shower. We were so close to the Abbey and river. Highly recommend this delightful boutique hotel.
The breakfasts were very good.
The location of the hotel was excellent for those travelling by rail.
Reception staff were very welcoming and keen to tell us of local sights and restaurants.
The cocktails were fantastic as were the pizzas and charcuterie platter!.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. The beds very comfortable and clean. The decor simple but tastefull and the continental breakfast most adequate. Perfect postion for exploring the city, what more could you ask for.
Love how central the Hotel is, love the consideration of the interior, love the friendly staff and the great breakfast.
Its a great hotel and only a stones throw away from the train station and central Bath.
We went mid week.
One of the most welcoming hotels I have stayed at. Provided good
information before I arrived and made particular efforts to ensure my
stay was enjoyable. Nice room on second floor with city view. Quiet and
comfortable.
Very nice welcome at reception, friendly staff. A very good and perfect located accomodation to visit wonderful Bath. Nice room with a view. Parking across the street at public car park. Nice breakfast.
Great hotel, excellent breakfast. The staff are really helpful and the location is brilliant, a 3 minute walk from the train station.
The hotel bar/restaurant does great food and amazing cocktails!.
Comfortable, great location, easy access, small and freindly. Rooms very
confrotable but small. Shower great. Ability to stay in comfort yet

The welcome was second to none. Especial thanks to Bob. Loved our room.
Overall atmosphere - prefect! Very comfortable room. And general
atmosphere was superb.
Well located. very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable accomodation. We look forward to our next visit to Bath when we can can stay at the Halcyon again.
The room was compact yet lovely. The bed was so comfy. The nightclub downstairs was good fun. Location was central and perfect. Can't wait to return.
Hotel manager was extremely helpful and provided lots of great tips and ideas for touring around the city. Great staff and perfect location.
Comfortable. Modern interior. Friendly and helpful staff. Very close to central shopping, restaurants and pubs and also railway station.
The staff go above and beyond for your comfort. They are committed to making our stay enjoyable and worry free. Management is "A"plus!.
Great location very near city centre, staff very helpful and friendly, clean and smart decor, good facilities.
I was given an early check in at 12 00 as requested, rather than have to leave my bags and come back at 2pm.

Location and breakfast.
The whole experience.
Location & Staff.
Everything.
Location close to city & train station.
Bar downstairs.Great ambience. Barman friendly.
Breakfast was great - both the food and the breakfast room. Breakfast staff friendly.
Really great pillows & comfy bed.
Clean rooms in new and good condition.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Good substantial, although continental, breakfast.
The hotel is close to both Bath Spa station and the city centre. The room was clean. There is no charge for wifi.
Attractive building, helpful staff, excellent location. We liked the hotel bar too.
Great location and staff friendly. Very clean.
No problems with the HOTEL.The morning of our arrival we were informed
that letsbookhotel.com had overbooked the room and that we would only be able
to spend one night instead of two. Although the hotel made reservations
at a nearby hotel, they were for the wrong night. We were lucky to find
a room, although at a much higher rate than the one I originally booked
through your website. No problems with the hotel other than the
inconvenience of having to move.
We did have an encounter with the locals that was less than favorable.
Anti-Gay insults and threats - was a blight on a very positive
experience.
The bathroom of room 3.5 had an unfortunate smell of drains.
The downstairs bar was chilly and draughty in the evening- mind you it was very cold in Bath too.
The room was quite cold though the radiator was on and the bathroom towel rail was not on at all.
nothing negative to say.
Only one small difficulty was the lack of a lift which was made clear
before arrival. I was helped with my luggage so no real problem.
Parking fee at the car park nearby quite high. As already mentioned by others the stairs is not suitable for handicapped people - in our case no problem at all.
If your room is at the front of the hotel, you can hear some noise from the street outside.
Noise late at night / early moring from basement bar. Window open =
noise: window closed = hot!
Too hot - had to turn radiotors off.
Historic town house, so no lift. But staff will help on arrival.
Nothing - all ok.
Probably wasn't hotel fault but woke up weirdly stupidly hot in
middle of the night. Very grateful for fan provided but wondered if had
been provided due to previous experience? Wasn't so taken with less-than-
obvious charges of treats provided left beside the kettle.
Little expensive for such a small room and a hard slog up the stairs to the room after walking around the city all day!.
The Bathroom in my room was very small. But was fine for a single person.
our room was a bit small and you could not use sink if sliding door of bathroom was shut as it was a bit of a squeeze. That said, clean comfy room at back of hotel which was nice and quiet apart from the **** sea gulls!.
The weather (!) and pillows were too soft but I am sure we could have
asked for firmer ones.
very small room about the same width as length of bed.
Our particular room had an air handling duct outside the window which was very noisy at 5.00am !.
Our room was a bit small
Breakfast was rather limited
Breakfast room was an ideal bar but not so ideal for breakfast (I appreciate the room doubles as both).
Member of staff took my wifes breakfast away while she was still
preparing it and never asked just took it and put it in the bin.
No residents bar and bar in basement a bit manic.
Breakfast not great.
no lift to get bag to the top floor.
We didnt like the wait for drinks in the cocktail bar - the bar tenders were not keeping an eye on the correct order of service and were taking to long making cocktails - we also left a bottle of champagne in the room when we left and reception could not find it - can you confirm back to me if this bottle was found in room 3.4 and phone 07725 413104.
Leaving.
Room is small, heating on all night so we couldn`t sleep, and if you give your card for a deposit they hold the price of the room and don`t release the money back into your bank Account for 7 days.
my friend requested gluten and dairy free which was not catered for , no milk and other products these were bought by her for the 2nd day There was no special toaster when asked for scrambled egg they did not understand what it was.
Unfortunately, I missed breakfast due to it only being availalbe from 07:30. That was disappointing.
WiFi - It is not work !!!.
Nothing.
The only negative comment was the fact that the cupboard space by the bathroom did not have a hanging rail, which led to our clothes hanging in the smart area on view to all.
We were on top floor and there is no lift. Luggage is a major issue in this building. Everything else was great.
Room was very small, cramped, stuffy & shabby. This was my second visit, disappointed with room both times.
Enjoyed the bar but glasses were dirty and table was sticky, plus something sticky on the wall. Stairs & landing carpets dirty. Pity.
Tiny, cupboard-like room with small, high level window. Even smaller shower room. Access to room through back of Reception desk.
No parking, or even space to unload luggage on South Parade (cul-de-sac). Received parking ticket, on a Sunday evening, in the 15 minutes it took to check-in and get directions on where to leave car.
The room was absolutely tiny, with no wardrobe (just a 40cm hanging rail), no cupboards or even any horizontal surfaces bigger than 0.2m2. We quite literally lived out of our suitcase.
There was no air conditioning in our bedrooms and the supplied fans were too noisy to have on at night. So we didn't get much sleep. We suggest not going in summer and definitely don't stay in a top floor room. Heat rises!.
Rooms very small.no closet space clothes hung in room looked very
untidy. Paid £145 per night this included continental breakfast had to
pay an extra £5 each for a cooked breakfast. Very dear for what u get.
