  I spent some days of my honeymoon two years ago in the hotel. I stayed in both times at a senior suit with a wonderful view facing the east.   Centralt läge, frukosten var helt OK - The staff is amazing. I had a huge problem with my car, my window was broken. They took the keys, and Mehmeth- the bell boy spent one whole day, trying to sort out the problem( which was very difficult for a day). Thanks to him, the car was ready how he promised. The same is with metro - The apartment was so great. I booked the big apartment which can contain around 8 people.It was consist of two levels. Sam is the manager of this property and he was very helpful and friendly. The location was not to far from Taksim squire. it takes from you around 10-15 min by walk. I will absolutely come back to this hotel apartment.

  The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run (though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs about the hotel at the front desk. Really a piece of history! The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!
