The building is a historic one, after the restoration. Living in a tradition house is a special experience for travelers. Staff is extremely kind and helpful! Breakfast is quite simple but absolutely enough to start your day in Istanbul!

  We liked everything! Not a single complaint. Excellent location, very good spa facilities for such not big hotel in the center, design interior, very good breakfast, staff very supportive.   Very helpful and nice stuff. Location - next to the istiglaliyyet street 5min walk. A lot of nice pubs in surrounding. Front view, top floors are really nice deal. Clean - the room was cleaned everyday. We have stayed for 4+2nights. There are a lot of things to see in Istanbul and night life is one of them. Breakfast was good.   We have stayed at Faik Pasha for two nights. This hotel is an excellent option in İstanbul. We chose this hotel due to the Taksim square protests. It is very close to İstiklal Street but it is located in very secure region of Taksim. The room was very well appointed, real boutique hotel style.   The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run (though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs about the hotel at the front desk. Really a piece of history! The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

Istanbul is a wonderful city, I would like to recommend this hotel to everybody. + all the taxis are just outside the hotel and in the rooms, the windows are well made, we don't hear the noise from outside.
