  Excellent staff ( Yildirim and Ofuk). The staff was supper nice. The owner, Aziz, was helpful and tried to help ASAP. Very close to Galata Tower and Galata bridge and to the Bosphoros.   The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run (though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs about the hotel at the front desk. Really a piece of history! The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

  Great location. Apartments are a few steps away from Galata tower and 5 min walk to Istiklal street. There are many cafes and restaurants right next to Galata tower. A cab ride to sultanahmet took us 10 mins and 20- 25 lira ( taxi meter better than prenegotiated rate). Manager was very nice and accommodative. Rooms were clean and sofa-bed was comf... vad folk säger » ortable. Almost all amenities included which made things easy especially with young kids. A small grocery store and money exchange in the back street. - The size of the apartment was of a good size of about 36 sq.m with the sofa bed being able to be folded into bed making our stay with the Kids much conveninent. The location of the apartment is excellent within close proximity to the shopping area of Estiqlal in Taksim and also metro/trump stations. The hospitality of the management was handled with excellent care by Mr. Takin and his team.

  I think it is a new hotel designed so modern and chic. My arrive to hotel was so easy since it is located approximately 5 minutes from Ataturk airport. The building was so majestically designed.
