Service - We spoke English but experienced no problem getting around. The front desk was helpful, regardless of the time of day or night. We were a couple, staying in a windowless room, but experienced no problem - The hotel is new. Rooms are well furnished, large and very clean. Breakfast is rich, with many coiches, both western and thai, and breakfast room has a nice view from the 12th floor. Wifi is good. Position is perfect, near central station and chinatown, with restaurants and supermarket close to the hotel. English speaking staff is very kind and will help you with anything.

  This hotel offers good value for money, is close to abundant shopping and nightlife. The staff was very efficient and friendly. Since I was on a business trip, I spend most of my time in my room working. The free WiFi was working fine (a bit slow sometimes, but I assume that was due to the provider, not the hotel). It's also nice - great location. very clean and spacious rooms - but not 4 star standard...perhaps 3 star at best (bathroom was ok but could have been a lot better).

I have enjoyed the atmosphere of a small boutique hotel (of course, most taxi driver don't know the hotel, but Surawong is a major road, therefore easy to find or just name Le Meridien), but in the middle of everything. I read online that it was a hostel/residence but when we saw our room, it was comparable to a 4-star hotel in Europe. The biggest/nicest surprise was the staff.   I have stayed at Tarntawan several times. My stay was perfect as I expected. The staff went out of there way every time to ensure my needs were meet. Room was clean and ready upon arrival. When my Visa card was captured at a local ATM the manager went with me to the ATM and Bank and arranged for me to get my card back. I h - I love the staff at this place. They're so nice, from the doormen to the desk staff and the cleaning staff. My partner and I always felt very welcome here, which is nice because some places make us feel unwelcome because we're a same-sex couple. Also, the internet connection here is quite good - much better than at the Tawana Hotel across the street, where we used to stay.
