We did not expect very much from this hotel, as it's announced as a
3 star place. We wanted a very quiet place to spend a week of doing
nothing, sightseeing, enjoying the sea. Because last year we stayed at
the Chaweng area and were a bit tired of noise. We should say the hotel
fulfilled our expectations: a bit far from the main roads, music from

Extremely helpfull staff, nice and friendly. Clean, good restaurant, fantastic salad sauces at the breakfast. Location direct on the sandy beach with own swimmingpool and massage facility, also on the beach. Close to the main walking road of Lamai, lots of possibilities to travel around Koh Samui. We will come back again!

The whole atmosphere @ Buddy!! I'm planning to return to Koh Samui
as I fell in love with the place & Buddy Oriental. The food was of
supurb quality and quantity; I take my hat off to the head chef Gina who
works tirelessly to ensure all runs smoothly & is an excellent cook.

I liked the ambience and the architecture of Buddy. The staff were always helpful and friendly.
the complex has a good variety of shops and restaurants although I mostly chose to eat at the nearby New Hut for budget reasons and preferred to try "authentic Thai" food with fellow travelers.
The pools were beautiful although on my second last day whilst lounging at the big pool a snake fell out of a over hanging palm and landed on my chest, however I don't blame the resort for that.

The advertised product is actually downplayed. We got MORE than we expected! From the great location, quiet area to the amazing staff that we could bug with any question or request & nothing was too much for them. Awesome food for a small lodge! We had more meals at the lodge than outside @ incredible value!

Very nice standard room for reasonable price,the room was well-cleaned by the time I came from the beach or tours in the afternoon.Very tropical to have mango tree just under my balcony.I was given teapot and cup by my request.It was nice of the reception staff to offer one night stay in another new hotel Poolswatt also on Lamai closer to the bay

The hotel was really worth the money. Situated directly at a very nice and calm beach in a hotel area, you can really enjoy your holidays. The rooms were clean as well as the common areas and the pool. The restaurant offers good food. Moreover it's not far to the town, 15mins walk along the beach brings you to the night market, the shopping area, restaurants and bars. I can definitely recommend this hotel.

nice clean bungalows, we had a double room which is smaller; and a triple room which is big and recently furbished - looks brandnew; the beds are softly firm. We all had good sleep there. Location is great, 1 minute's walk to the beach, and 5-10 minutes walk to the town center (shopping/food/drink area); They have own power supply so we had electricity supply in our rooms even the whole southern Thailand had a big blackout on one night during our stay. We absolutely loved Zara. We paid extra on arrival and upgraded to the
double pool villa for two nights as it was vacant, but then as it was
booked out we thenmoved to villa 10 (grand plunge pool villa). We loved

This was without a doubt the best resort we ever visited in all our travelling abroad. The garden in which the villas are situated is awesome and right by the sea. This resort is excelent for people who prefer privacy, yet 20 meters walking and you're on the beach. In your private garden by the villa you would think you're alone in the jungle.
