Just returned from a touring holiday of Andalucia and the Casa San Jose was without doubt the best of the six hotels we stayed in during our visit. The hotel is a cross between a hotel, a palace and family home and will not disappoint anyone who walks in through the front door - this place certainly has the wow factor! The decor is exquisite and typical of a Spanish home - the overall ambiance is helped by the very friendly and helpful owners who could not do anymore to make our stay highly en.
alla recensioner » The Casa San Jose is a fantastic small hotel. It has been the family home of the owner for over 30 years and is filled with beautiful old furniture and objets d'art. The house is built round a typical Cordoban patio and is spacious and very comfortable. You are asked to make yourself at home.The breakfast is excellent and varied with fresh fruit and an ample Continental breakfast. The owners are friendly and helpful. They gave excellent advice about places to eat and exploring the local area. We thought it was absolutely fabulous; in fact my wife and I chatted about it after we returned home, and both agreed it was probably the nicest place we have EVER stayed in. We do not normally have hotel breakfasts, but on this occasion decided to give it a try; we were well satisfied, it was up to the same high standard as everything else. A fantastic experience of spending a night in a classic Andalusian home filled with antiques. Wonderful hosts in a small town. Quiet, restful, pretty garden, small pool. Unique and pleasurable. And don't miss dinner at Pena Flamenco around the corner!. we saw this hotel was rated as exceptional and it didn't let down on any aspect. A truly fabulous casa, family owned and run with top rate service. They couldn't do more to make our stay as special as it was. Thank you. This hotel is a beautiful jewel. The hosts were very personable and the rooms are filled with interesting antiques. It was the highlight hotel of our trip. This is a magical place which is a b&b, more than an hotel. The host is very friendly and kind and will make everything to make you feel at home. The reception by the owners is extremely personal and friendly. They really managed to give Casa Jose a personal flavour. Beautiful old house, lovely accommodation, very welcoming hosts, great breakfast!. Intimate atmosphere Good attitude and service Charming facilities. Very friendly owners, trying to help with any problem. Parking was provided in a lock up garage. However on arrival it is better to park in the plaza below Calle Ferial and walk to the hotel to get advice about the parking.The street is one way and you need to be aware where to park to unload. There was nothing to dislike. Nothing. Good luck navigating the one-way streets of Palma del Rio to find the hotel. A good map helps. A little bit far from the touristic highlights of andalucia. nothing. No or very little english Simple breakfast.
