  Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. The a/c duplex unit was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well maintained. Not a single word of criticism worth mentioning here, except maybe that it is located pretty close to the ... vad folk säger » motorway, so having breakfast on the large roof terrace might become a bit noisy. But the best thing to report was the warm, generous and very welcomi - As a couple with young kids, it was an absolute dream staying at Manaar House as it was so kid friendly that our kids did not want to go out because of the toys provided in our section of the house! They had so much fun & were so comfortable and as parents, that mattered most to us. The views from the kids rooms were phenomenal & they absolutely loved it!   It was like staying with a good friend! The place was beautifully decorated, and the owners were amazing. I think people usually have a car when they come but I was just there for a weekend and I came in a taxi from Durban, so the owners offered to drive me to town (just 5 min away) to pick up groceries, they took me into town again the next day f... vad folk säger » or other errands, and they drove me to the airport when I left!   The grounds were beautifully kept. Staff very friendly and helpful. Value for money. Great breakfast. I enjoyed my short stay. - It was very close to where I needed to be. For work and for only 1 or 2 nights it was perfect.
