The room was very big and well furnished. Bathroom was big enough for a rugby team, very nice!
The view from the balcony was great looking out over the golfcoarse in the distance.
No traffic or noise.
Fridge well stocked and priced.

The entire staff did everything possible to make my stay an excellent one. The building is uniquely designed and beautifully decorated. The views over Pretoria are very special. Excellent food at hotel and there is also an excellent French restaurant in walking distance. Excellent choice for leisure traveller. -

The neighbourhood where the B and B is located is very quiet and peaceful even though it is less than 5 minutes from a busy shopping area and key transport access points like the Gautrain and the motorway. Very organised and funky operation incorporating great design. Owner is an architect and it shows. Our room was brilliantly designed with every comfort you could ask for: huge bed, big flat screen tv, fabulous bathroom, fridge etc etc. Breakfast, cooked by the owners was delightful. Plenty of off road parking. The router in our room went down the morning we were leaving but the owners allowed me to use their office. Hatfields is a nice suburb and downtown is easily accessible. A winner.

We were greeted so warmly on arrrival, it felt like really anything would be fine and do able for them. We were blown away by the views and the small details like ferrero rocher chocolates on our pillows. breakfast in the morning out on the stoep was stunning and really tasty. I wouldn't bother staying anywhere else in Pretoria. -

The owners of the Melvin Houser are fantastic... we arrived late at night, 2 days ahead of our reservation, due to travel changes, and not only did they allow us to change our reservation right then, but they were lovely about it and so warm and helpful, even letting us hop on their personal computer to cancel
