The breakfast room is a lovely location with comfortable chairs and soothing background music being played, all getting the day off to a great start.

  Our room had extensive views of the sea. Sunsets in particular were to die for. The location was ideal for us. A great walk along signal hill to the V & A via the noon day gun. The facilities were outstanding in this boutique style hotel.   Everything about this guesthouse is wonderful. Joe and Marius, the owners, are incredibly accommodating. They will stop by breakfast every morning, tell you about the weather, and recommend things to do. Breakfast is wonderful and personalized to your wants. Though it was too c - I stayed at Mountview for 6 nights and my experience was very positive. Joe sat down with me for 30 minutes on the first day and explained about the tours, local stores, safety and all other questions I had knowing that it was my first time in Cape Town. The hotel was kept clean at all times and I had no troubles by commuting to the hotel alone. Also staying at Sea Point (quite neighborhood in a shadow of hill and 5 minute walk to the ocean breath) was exactly what I was looking for in this

  The staff made us feel like we were at home as soon as we got there. The breakfast was very good and a great way to start the day.It was very clean and well kept. The internet worked just fine for us. It is a little hike from long street and the water fronts but taxis are cheap or be adventurus and take the mini buses that the local folks take ... vad folk säger » which we did that are great and very very cheap. It was hard to leave. - Very comfortable, well located. It combines a quiet, "off the beaten path" location with a hotel that was within walking distance of all the best of Cape Town. Very helpful front desk with fantastic assistance in all things. A really great hotel and well worth the price.

  Before we even arrived we received an informative letter and help in planning our holiday. Staff could not have been more helpful with recommendations and answers to our every question. Carol, the owner is personable and greeted us warmly on our arrival. She took the time to get to know us and tell us a little about herself. The hotel was spotless and the breakfasts were fantastic! We love the extra attention we get from boutique hotels and this was did no disappoint. I state with my 3 adult children.
