  I usually stay at the Waterfront and only chose the Taj out of neccesity because everyone else was full with Argus bookings. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent 5 star hotel at a fraction of the cost of some competitors. The city location is vibrant and interesting.   Very modern hotel. Beautiful bedroom with ultra modern bathroom and fantastic view of table mountain from enormous room window. Lovely breakfast and extremely attentive and helpful staff. - Liked the reception lay out and rooms' lay out.The position to major attractions in the city.

  We were allocated a ground floor room which I was not too happy with, after mentioning it to Nobu at reception she went out of her way to arrange another room and get it ready for us.   Michel and Ursula make a stay at Rouge on Rose feel like you've instantly found a new home and want to move in for a year, not just a few days. The hotel itself is quite stylish without feeling too forced edgy/modern, our room was spacious and like a small studio apt.   Very nice and quiet family run hotel, with an accomodating and friendly staff. Probably the best hotel breakfast I have had, ever (and I travel a lot in business). A quite and nice neigbourhood, but only a 10 min walk to the more busy and noisy centre of Cape Town. Allthough only 14 rooms, they even run their own transport service in the evening. ... vad folk säger » - Amazing hotel in a quiet area, yet close to everything. Lovely view of the mountain. The owners' personal attention was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cape Town.

  Spaciousness and layout of the room - Although the hotel was old (and currently being renovated) it was clean and comfortable, nothing particularly distressing. Breakfast was good, though it's debatable whether it's worth the R130 you can save if you choose not to have it.

  This was an excellent hotel. It was situated just outside the Waterfront and although you could walk there, they had a courtesy bus that ran every half hour. It was also situated near to the cental area. We arrived early and they looked after our luggage until the room was ready. The room was clean and had all the facilities you would expect. The rooms and service is very good. The location of the hotel is good and the use of the free shuttle to the Vand A water front is very useful. If you get a good rate this is the hotel to stay in.
