Belinda and Dawid Lombard went out of their way to make our 4 day/night stay utterly enjoyable. In their beautiful garden peace and tranquility are easily restored to you. the walks in picturesque Ladybrand were invigorating to say the least. The friendly and helpful people we bumped into were surprising to behold!.
The guesthouse was on a quiet, safe street and the hosts were very helpful in locating restaurants and day-driving trips. They were ready with maps. The restaurants in Ladybrand did not appeal to us. It would be nice to have a braai facility.
I really disliked our room. It is on a corner of the building so is passed by all other guests. There are only roman blinds on the windows so if privacy is desired one has to lower the blinds, resulting in darkness during the day relieved only partially by the dim overhead lighting. On a previous stay we had a much better room on the other end of the verandah. Since it was one of the most expensive places in which we stayed we expected more.
