The view! Absolutely breathtaking! The privacy that you feel you have without feeling isolated...the honesty bar was a great idea for guests who fear venturing out into JHB traffic just for a little something. Breakfast was delicious and always fresh. Facilities were clean and spacious. Beautiful view. Pleasant grounds (I loved the roses and the lavender!) and clean, good-sized swimming pool for swimming laps. Friendly staff. Yummy breakfast with FRESH fruit salad. And I loved the limestone bathroom tiles...
alla recensioner » The host has got the balance just right. Not in your face but there if you need her. Stunning property. Perfect location. Exquisite garden. Spacious room and bathroom. Stunning view. Reception. Luxury. Location. excellent all round. Lovely Guest House. Good breakfast. Nice pool and views!. The breathtaking view and cleanliness of the facility. security. Looked great. warm room. The view. There is no aircon in the rooms...only a fan. Don't need it at night as it's safe enough to open the windows and enjoy the fresh air and lights of the city but during the day it can get quite hot in the room. A little off the beaten track: a car is a must, and some familiarity with the roads of JNB's northern suburbs is an advantage . And the downstairs rooms really, really need to be fitted with outside blinds/protection from the sun, which shines rtight in from sunrise to noon. Inside curtains are NOT an option - they only trap the heat, the room is like an oven on hot mornings! (Besides, you want to keep the curtains open to enjoy the magnificent view!). The only thing that I think is missing is some decent tv chanels. They only have sabc 1, 2, 3. No DSTV. Not enough soap. No satellite channels in the rooms only in the lounge at the main house....unacceptable! Lovely pool...would have been nice to have chairs and umbrellas to use!. Hostile environment with racial undertone. condition of amenities. It was if I was putting them out staying there. Very fuzzy TV 1 2 3 Dstv only available in "main"lounge 3 flights of stairs away. Wifi did not work. Hot water only if someone else not using the water. Bath plug did not work. Overall one of the worst places I have stayed. The host was moody. The shower leaked so badly that I flooded the bathroom everytime I showered. The host accused me of stealing from the honesty bar. I was so shocked at the accusation that I couldn't wait to leave. Never have I ever been accused of stealing and that after paying over R2000 for my stay. I will never support this place again. Never.
